Extended Stay America Select Suites Lubbock West

Last minute reservation for Texas Tech graduation weekend. No normal amenities as any other hotels. It was very dirty, smelled did have clean sheets. This is more of a motel with kitchen efficiency.

The GM Ms. Jaimie, Ms.Christina and Mr. Jerry. are very helpful, dependable and reliable, kind person we ever met. We are content and happy staying here. Near everywhere you looking for. We recommended this place.

Be warned, someone tried to break into our truck last night. Our room was ok. To be expected for a hotel that more commonly hosts guests by the week or month. The bathroom light was not working.ballast out or something. We slept and left. Served its purpose, but due to the two things above, will not stay here again when visiting family around LCU.

I just needed a long term extended stay in Lubbock that was quiet and private to study and do some work. The place met my needs for space and amenities. What really made it work for me though was the staff. Nikki and Shelly up front make the place run like a Swiss watch. The embody professionalism and friendliness, always handling any issues with ease. Jerry in maintenance is great guy as well. He keeps the place in shape and treats you like family. There are occasional disturbances from other guests, as is to be expected in any inexpensive hotel/extended stay. But they get dealt with quickly to minimize discomfort to the other guests.

This hotel is a total dump. I expected room service only every other week so I would not complain about the fact that the room was not clean. I borrowed a broom and bought cleaning supplies myself. For most of my stay the water was only lukewarm in the shower. The unexpectedly terrifying thing about this Hotel is that there is no one at the front desk after they close in the evening overnight until morning. The card in the room says that when the front desk is closed you can reach someone by dialing a special number. That number reaches a hotel employee who is Most likely asleep and not thrilled about being awakened. On several different occasions there was noise until 330 or 4 in the morning – people running up and down the halls screaming, loud music, and loud TV and I could reach no one. If you are apprehensive about the level and the intensity of the noise and disturbance your only option is to call 911. I left early and would never stay in this hotel and strongly recommend Finding a safer and cleaner place to stay.
