Aloft Lubbock

The Aloft is one of the few hotels on our road travels that is completely welcoming of dogs. We have stayed there 3 times in the past 2 months on road trips, and really appreciate the location, the pet friendliness and the super comfy beds. Breakfast coffee is freely available, the food is good, and its close to a myriad of restaurants at the mall area within walking distance. Front desk service is excellent and friendly (Jack is probably the most pleasant Marriott employee Ive dealt with in 10 years and that includes Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott properties).

1/5 2 days ago on Google DIRTY HOTEL! Not your typical expectation for a Marriott hotel. Hotel is fairly new for it to be in such dire need of cleaning and repairs. Even the sidewalks outside are dirty entering building. Hotel is built cheaply looking. Hallways are painted black so very dark, and rooms are bizarre. Furniture in lobby has stained circles on couches and overall dirty. I would not have set on it. Breakfast area is odd…you place your order for a fee and the desk staff goes back and cooks it for you and brings it out. Elevator carpet is nasty, as well as the elevator buttons and walls entering elevator. Rugs in room are dirty and needed cleaning. Bathrooms needed cleaning better. Sliding door to bathroom would not stay closed for privacy and no way to keep it from rolling open. Tennis ball size hole in wall by vanity where the vanity mirror had been ripped off wall. Electrical cords laying under vanity sink that would not have been safe with small children or pets. Light switch to bathroom area is located at the front door. Only one side of bed had place to plug in Cell phones. One yellow square cube to set suitcase on and it was very dirty. Awkward corner benches and table to set other suit cases on. On a positive note the staff was very friendly, but looked surprised when we told them about the hole in the wall and sliding door problem. Repairs and filth seemed to be a common complaint in other people’s reviews too. Location is good for going shopping, but it is located behind a large chain of stores. Marriott really failed on this one. I will not be staying at another Aloft hotel again.

Inviting newer hotel with an active lobby and friendly front desk staff. Located in a quieter part of town away from the university campus it makes for a great night’s sleep. Many restaurants and shopping options nearby. Roughly 12-15 minutes away from campus without traffic. Reminder this is a Loft style product. If you don’t like the idea of a smaller room and concrete painted ceilings with an IKEA style full wall divider between the bedroom and bathroom area then this is not the product for you. Guest room entertainment works well with Netflix, Amazon prime, etc streaming.

Great spot! The overnight front desk, Frankie, was genuinely caring, friendly, extremely professional and helpful. He alone is a reason that I would chose Aloft in Lubbock again. RARE to find people that care if you have everything that you need. He certainly did and was genuine about it. Good job, Aloft Lubbock in finding him!

We had a wonderful stay at Aloft Lubbock. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had to change our reservation very last minute due to canceled flights and the staff easily accommodated us. The hotel is new and very clean. The location is great , as there are shops, restaurants and even a Dave and Busters within easy walking distance. We highly recommend staying here for a weekend visit to see your Red Raider student or to catch a football game!
