Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas DFW Airport North Grapevine

I am 75 and have traveled for business for the last 40 years. My choice is Hampton which I will explain next. This is the best service we have ever experienced. The lady at the desk, the ladies that provided breakfast, the shuttle drivers and ladies that kept towels in our rooms without exception were over the top and willing to go beyond the call of duty. We came at a busy time and were unable to find a rental car. We were going to have to use Ubers to go to the conference center. The hotel offered that service which we had to use often over the week stay. They never made us feel it was an imposition, but literally treated us as if we were distinguished guests. If any of their team moved to our community, I would want to hire them as part of our team. Since we are older, a growing issue in many motels is lighting. Even bathrooms don't offer enough light to properly dress, do makeup and hair properly. Fortunately, Hampton is better than most. The network chain could use a light on the business desk. Location: Next to Hwy 121, but not noisy. Nothing within walking distance, but the shopping mall is only a few miles away. Hotel: Fairly new. Well appointed. Private business center. Slow elevators. There are two for five floors and one was not working. Staff: Friendly and helpful Room: Freeway view. Good mattress. Chaise lounge instead of chair. Breakfast: Standard fare. Well stocked and attended. The first day they had no forks and no bananas. Fitness Center: 3 treadmills, 1 elliptical, free weights, weight machine. Only bike is a Peloton (boo!), only one floor pad.

I try to stay a Hampton Inns because you know exactly what you're going to get for a reasonable price. When I booked this hotel online, it stated my room rate would be $162.00. That seemed a little high based on my past experiences with this hotel chain, but it was on the high of my budget. Only after I got my receipt did I realize that the quoted rate was for my first night only and subsequent nights were $100 more per night. Classic bait and switch pricing tactics. WTH!! Never again.

We had a very pleasant stay in this Hampton Inn .Cleanliness, location,value for money and excellent and friendly service from Kesonde Taylor,Esperanza and Genesis. After a long 14 hour flight from Manila, Philippines we needed to rest our senior bodies and not wait until the 3pm check in time. Kesonde was kind and perceptive to allow us to get our room soonest. Thank you Kesonde. The breakfast kitchen was well prepared by Esperanza and kept stocked and clean during our 5 day stay. Genesis was attentive and friendly. I hope to visit Dallas again and will definitely stay here.
