Stayed for a week while I attended a seminar . Front desk staff was polite and lobby looked lovely decorated for the holidays. Breakfast was decent and outside pool area was very well kept . Wish I could say that about the room . Room was in incredibly poor shape . Dresser that housed refrigerator was falling apart and refrigerator literally fell out every time I opened it. Ice bucket cracked , walls scuffed everywhere, carpet stained in several areas . All the furniture looked like or was garage sale leftovers. Bathroom tile was beyond cleaning and so was tub . Just old and dingy . Lampshade on desk lamp was crushed basically it looked like I was in a Motel 6 . I should have asked to switch rooms , but I was in classes from 8am - 7Pm everyday with a 30 minute lunch break . Even just for sleep and showering the room wasnāt worth it . I told everyone at the seminar not to use this hotel . Only 1 person I met was using it , but he said he was luckily given a good room because he was traveling with his wife who needed a handicapped room . Most of the group was using VRBO or Airbnb or a few B&Bās . I need to return for another seminar in the spring and will either stay elsewhere or ask to see the room before I hand over my credit card .

This hotel is located a few blocks out of the main commercial area, but there are sidewalks on both side of the road that make it safe to walk to all the retail and restaurant locations. Room was very spacious, with a balcony overlooking the pool (which appeared very upscale for a Hampton, with a stylized shape, beautiful landscaping, and a large cabana are to get out of the sun). Bed and linens were fine, bathroom was spacious and clean with plenty of towels. Morning breakfast area had plenty of tables, but both morning we had to clean the table ourselves before we could use it. Front desk staff both days were lovely and welcoming.

We stayed for two nights while exploring wineries around Fredericksburg. The hotel is overall clean and the breakfast staff was very nice. We chose a room facing the back of the hotel (away from 290) and did not hear any road noise. The room appeared to have new carpeting, but the rest of the finishes are looking a little worn. The mattress was overly soft for our liking, and the pillows were a joke...tiny for the king-sized bed and so soft that they offered no support whatsoever. The bathroom, while spacious, needs a total remodel. The wallpaper is puckering and looking like it's about to come off the wall, the shower door would not stay completely closed, and the whole thing is just old. The location can't be beat for visiting downtown, the museum, and the wineries, but the overall condition of the hotel doesn't justify the price.

We checked in around 5 PM front desk staff was so-so. I was not impressed. However, the front desk staff the next morning when we checked out was fabulous the breakfast was decent. I only got eggs and sausage and coffee. The room was very clean, but it smelled like cigarettes including the hallway. This property is probably the only decent option in the town.

High priced Hampton with snooty desk staff...think they are above it all. Rooms okay, breakfast the usual Hampton Inn low grade fare...air conditioner noisy...but main concern with pompous attitude of front desk staff...really didn't enjoy staying at this Hampton, others much better
