The photo fearured at trip advisor is not representative of the actual room we had at Rm1008 (Executive King Room). Our room was very dated with facilities not on par with other Embassy Suites hotels we’ve stayed in. Just four days prior, we had stayed at Embassy Suites Crabtree, Raleigh and expected a similarly pleasant experience from a Hilton group — unfortunately, this location fell short. Stayed 26Feb2025 to 02March2025, and from the elevator, hallway, and room to the toilet, felt like a flashback to the 1970s. The breakfast buffet was served with plastic utensils (not even matching), and during a conference on the 5th floor, the ceiling started leaking. To make matters worse, the elevators were unreliable. I did not take Photos as regrettably I can’t highlight anything positive about this stay, as even the staff were neither accommodating nor welcoming. I do not intend to return.

We chose this hotel for a short staycation for our 7 year old daughter’s birthday. She really wanted to swim, so we booked it specifically for the indoor pool. I upgraded to early check in/late check out so we would have plenty of time to swim around the other things we had planned. I called to confirm the early check in and mentioned being excited about the pool. Once we got there, we were told the pool was closed because “someone jumped in it and cracked it”. What? I went to check it out and it looks like it’s been closed for months. We chose to go ahead and check in because I couldn’t get a refund, but when to check out early the next morning. They tried to charge us for late check out anyway. There was at least one other person in line arguing because they over charged her. Run down hotel with dishonest employees- skip it.

It's an old hotel but after staying at other Texas hotels, this seems typical. This hotel is in dire need of a refresh. The finishings are tired and falling apart. My family stayed at the Embassy in Downtown Ft. Worth from 2/13 to 2/17 in room 407. The suite was reasonably spacious, the evening cocktail hour was enjoyable and the valet parking made the stay quite a bit easier not having to worry about finding a space in a garage. Valet is $49.80 with tax a day, there's a parking garage 2 blocks away that is $25 a day so it's up to you what you choose. There were a couple of things that made the stay a little less enjoyable. When we arrived, the front desk seemed like we were an inconvenience to them for checking in. The lobby wasn't exactly busy at this point. I want to say Nico, I believe was his name, was fantastic at the front desk and very attentive to everyone. Some of the others, not so much. When we arrived in our room, we immediately noticed the table had food residue that hadn't been cleaned off. We had some baby wipes with us we used to clean it off and bought some Clorox wipes from the CVS nearby. The walls had stains from liquids that had splattered on the all over and it seemed like people wiped blood or snot on the door jams and walls that hadn't been cleaned off. There was tape on the ceiling and walls from someone presumably taping streamers for a party. The wall paper was peeling off the walls at nearly every seam and there were areas of the ceiling where the drywall was cracking off. On top of this, the thermostat didn't work very well, it seemed to be 19 degrees off. We had to set it to 63 and the heater wouldn't turn off till 73. If course, then it wouldn't turn on till the room was freezing. Nico came in to look at it and mentioned they'd have someone service it the next day. I understand the wallpaper peeling and drywall mud cracking come with age, I think the hotel generally could use a refresh, unless this is specific to this room. The cleanliness of the walls, door jambs and ceiling is another issue. I'm sure those aren't standard items for changing the room over but someone from the cleaning staff must have noticed and should say something to schedule the room for a more thorough cleaning. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to anyone.

I would never recommend this hotel and honestly I don't say this lightly. It's an old hotel. However our experience was far from ideal. Firstly it was advertised as 2 bedroom with sofa bed...It was a one bedroom with two beds in the same room and then sofa which was really uncomfortable. We had 6 adults. We arrived at midnight and the staff could not locate sheets for the sofa bed and then we were handed 1 tatty sheet and a blanket. The room stank like vomit. The breakfast was ok however the staff in the restaurant were very rude infact one of the worse episodes I've ever experienced. After complaining about smell they were happy to move us which was appreciated. However er same thing no sheets for the sofa bed and it took 2 hours at mid night and me going to reception twice to find any. There is only 2 washing machines for the whole building. No working light in the laundry room and the dryer is not working. That said if you took wet washing to reception they would help do it but were not happy about it. Pool was small and fully cold not heated at all. Spa was small and only just warm. We would not go back.

‘Happy Hour’ consisted of one small bowl of chips that was depleted in the first 5 minutes with nothing replaced for over an hour. Booked a room with two beds. Found out only one bed had bedding and was told they didn’t have any bedding for the second bed…. Stay away!!!
