Parking is in a parking garage that you have to us stairs to access. It will lead you to a locked door in the back of the hotel. Very inconvenient. I am platinum elite with IHG yet when I requested late check out I was told no. Very disappointed. Certainly not service oriented to business travelers. I will be coming back to this are for the next month. I certainly won’t stay here.

Well, I decided to try out a candlewood suites because I usually stay at Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn express and by the time I got to the desk and talked to the female behind the desk, I had never been such disrespected in my life, but I guess that’s why the hotel was as cheap as it was for a Saturday night Since this hotel in particular just hires straight trash and I told you would’ve given this hotel a zero if it would let me and if you ever decide to stay at this hotel, be careful they are quick to do $100 incidental as all the other Holiday Inn in the Dallas Fort Worth never charges more than 50 for incidentals

We stayed at this hotel for five nights. When booking, we checked Hotels.com, TripAdvisor, and the IHG website, and ultimately made our reservation through IHG. At no point did it mention that this is an extended-stay hotel, where housekeeping is not provided daily. You have to stay for at least a week before your room is cleaned, the trash emptied, and essentials restocked. In my opinion, this should be clearly stated on the website. If you need towels, toilet paper, or tissues, you have to go to the front desk to get them yourself. Although this hotel was built in 2019, it felt much older. The toilet handle was loose, and you had to hold it down to get it to flush properly. The shower diverter was very loose, and the bathroom wall had a large, unpainted patch. The in-room phone didn’t work, and every time we turned on the bathroom sink, it smelled like rotten eggs, although the odor did fade after a minute. I’d still like to know why that happened. We had to take out our own trash, which was frustrating, especially since the bin was located in the stairwell. We were only in the room at night, but the fridge made a constant sound like it was leaking, which was distracting. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable. There’s a covered parking garage, but it’s not connected to the hotel, so if it’s raining, you’ll get wet walking between the two. The staff were all very nice and pleasant.

From check-in till premature check-out (after two nights, instead of planned 13) I felt not welcome here. There are only very few parking lots at the entrance, most guests just have to park along the street on the other side of the road. ThereĀ“s a strange fenced platform in front of the entrance and the curb insnĀ“t lowered anywhere along the parking lots, so it is very difficult to get your luggage from the car onto a baggage cart and into the hotel. ThereĀ“s actually a parking garage at the east side of the hotel which could be a huge advantage, if it werenĀ“t so tricky to access, both by car and from the hotel. Of course, all eastern hotel rooms face the garage, too. On the other side, at the moment thereĀ“s still a meadow, but it will most probably turn into a construction site soon. The location near Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway and DFW is convenient, but thereĀ“s hardly any restaurant in the neighborhood; in about ten minutes you can reach a Whole Foods Market or an ALDI. Obviously the hotel was booked out, so I couldnĀ“t get an upgrade, despite of my Platinum status. That I obviously got one of the worst rooms, facing the parking garage, was another thing. The kitchen had the poorest equipment IĀ“ve ever seen, not even a flipper, 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 glasses etc. - in a room meant for up to three people! The furniture was very basic and run down, the desk chair extremely uncomfortable. The room and the dishes werenĀ“t clean. The kitchen sink was leaking. I found stains on my pillow and a long nasty hair wrapped in the bath towel. A very condescending employee tried to offer me an ā€župgradeā€œ in the same room category as apology and explicitely mentioned that, allegedly, most guests here were Platinum and Diamond members and stayed for several weeks, so I was not eligible for something better. I was really happy to leave.

This is a great hotel in the Dallas area. The rooms are very clean and quite. The pillows are so comfy as well as the bed. The gazebo is nice to use on an evening when you want something fresh cooked. The FREE laundry has great machines that clean and dry your clothes without damaging them. There is a nice little store across the street where you can pick up a few items to cook in your room . The deli also has ready to eat options and are very good.
