La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ennis

Non existent breakfast. no help from staff. room not prepared properly. trash outside. bathroom tub was dangerous slippery. almost empty, no wonder!!

We went on a special with Street Outlaws and our room was supposed to be $103 per night. When we left they charged us $285 per night! In November 2023 the rooms were going for $77 a night! We will never stay at this hotel chain under any circumstances!

Overall this was a nice hotel and would be fine if they correct the terrible musty smell in the room. The bathroom was fine but the area by the bed with carpet smelled as if the carpet had been wet then left to take on a strong musty smell. Can’t recommend this hotel unless this is resolved.

We stayed in this hotel twice - once in 2019 and the second time last week. Nothing really has changed since the first visit. Pros: 1. Location - super convenient. Right off the interstate and on the bluebonnet trail if that's your interest. Gas station is across the street, as well as McDonalds and Freddy's Steakburgers. However, for a late night dinner you will need to go to Denny's (which was very good!) or further into town. 2. Bed was OK regarding comfort 3. Sheets were clean and so was the bathroom 4. Refrigerator and Microwave were in working order and were actually clean. 5. Staff was very attentive to our needs. Cons: 1. Rooms - we stayed in a suite twice - are dated, smelly. 2. Room keys are very capricious and we needed to replace ours 3 times during our 2 day stay. The side door pretty much was not accessible. 3. Noise factor - we stayed on the second floor and could here every step that was taken by occupants upstairs. We did not have breakfast, so I can not comment on that. All in all not a bad experience for a couple of nights.

Very Quiet Location away from freeway noise had a good night sleep, Well lighted Parking lot, Friendly Service with clean comfortable accommodation. Will visit again on future trip on Ennis. April is Blue Bonnet festival in Ennis
