Ah, aLoft Downtown El Paso, where the walls are thin, and the entertainment is... unexpected. Iâve had the pleasure of staying at this beautifully restored old building before, and while many aLoft locations have seen better days, this one seemed to promise a charming stay. Spoiler alert: it was memorable, just not in the way Iâd hoped. Upon my early check-in, the staff was wonderfully friendly, and I was given a lovely corner room. Kudos to the desk attendant for recommending a delightful Italian restaurant for dinner. Returning to the hotel, the lobby was alive with a pleasant buzz, but I was ready to retire for the night. Little did I know, the real show was about to begin. As someone who travels three weeks a month, I always request a quiet room. So, imagine my surprise when, at 8:15 PM, my call to check on my dog was interrupted by the unmistakable sounds of... letâs call it an enthusiastic neighborly activity. My mother, on the other end of the line, was equally perplexed. Initially, I found it both humorous and disturbing, but after 30 minutes, the novelty wore off. Despite my best effortsâknocking, yelling, yodeling, and even playing the Benny Hill themeâthe "performance" continued for a marathon three hours. Desperate, I texted the front desk, only to be told that their solution was to move me. Move me? In my jammies? Surely, there was something management could do, as Iâd once been relocated at a Westin due to my boyfriendâs loud snoring. Apparently, aLoftâs policy is to let the show go on. My suspicion is that the âladyâ next door was a professional, and while I hold no grudge against sex workers, I do take issue with them keeping loyal, paying guests awake. In conclusion, I wonât be staying at aLoft again, and if this is their brand policy, Iâll be sure to inform my companyâs travel service to avoid booking my colleagues there. It was a disappointing experience, to say the least. If youâre looking for a lively night, aLoft might be your place. But if sleep is your priority, you might want to look elsewhere.

Due to a âsystem glitchâ at the front desk, they gave my room to someone else and a man unlocked my hotel room door and started to come in WHILE I WAS GETTING DRESSED!! I was alone in my room. I ran to the door and slammed it shut screaming someoneâs in here. All I was offered by Marcos at the front desk was a FREE BREAKFAST for the next morning. Absolutely awful customer service. After my complaint my key didnât work the next day and I never even got the so called free breakfast.

Good location. Thermostat barely works and the windows are thin. We froze. Showers are slippery, like scary slippery. Night/AM front desk staff is extremely unprofessional. Tiny rooms. No coffee, unless you want to pay $6. No toilet paper and because, and I quote, "we don't have room service" they made me walk downstairs to get more in an uncomfortable position as you can imagine. You won't need an alarm clock, the 4am trash trucks will wake you for sure, especially with the paper thin windows. If not for that, the blinds that let in the sun will surely wake you up. $20 valet parking is a joke. This was a pricey hotel yet I would prefer a Motel 6 after staying here.

I selected this hotel based on its proximity to where I would be working. I didnât realize it was in an art deco office building. The rooms are a little strangely shaped, at least mine was but they are clean and comfortable. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance of the hotel including one restaurant which connects directly to the lobby. The staff are courteous, professional, and prompt.

This a very good option to stay at El Paso, located in the downtown of the city. From its location , you cas drive either west or east to reach any of the cityâs PoI. Rooms are small but the bathroom is well designed and spacious (just be careful as the shower floor tiles are very slippery. They offer valet parking service, but it is expensive and not very good. On the brightside, the downtown area is in its revival, so you can enjoy a lot of options for dinner and entertainment within walking distance (Cafe Central is a Jewel).
