Scottish Inns New Jersey

I booked a room at Scottish inn just so I can get some rest to continue my trip. When I got to the hotel they told me they were overbooked. So unfortunately no rest for me because every hotel was sold out. What got me absolutely frustrated is they they refuse to give me my refund. So they literally robbed me without a gun. Do not book here at all. If you do do so do it at your own risk. I understand if I cancel the day off I would lose my money but they did not give me a room. I should be compensated for my inconvenience. Instead they are keeping my $75!!!! 😡😡😡.

I made a reservation on Hotwire for the wrong dates accidentally , I called Hotwire right away. They called the hotel to see if I could cancel and they refused. It had only been 15 minutes so they could have easily gotten another booking. They should realize that customer service goes a long way. I would have considered staying there in the future had they given me a refund, but not now that I know how they run their business!

This is a sleazy motel is straight out of a bad detective movie. It's located in a dark, remote area w/minimal signage or lighting. As for the room, I'm surprised there wasn't yellow tape on the floor outlining a body. The Hotwire write up says the motel complies w/COVID cleaning and sanitizing standards...NOT!! This place was absolutely filthy. This dump had everything you DON'T want in a room. Roaches, stains on the carpet, apparent body fluids on the bed spread, rank odor of smoke in the room, trash on the floor and a greedy, rude manager. When the manager was told of the conditions, he acted like there was no problem. When a refund was requested, he refused and told me to call Hotwire. I immediately left and paid $170 at another hotel down the road. I called Hotwire a day later for a refund. Before a refund could be issued, they needed to speak with the manager to confirm my claims. Of course, HE LIED and said the room was nice and clean. Did they really expect him to admit he ran a skank motel full of roaches, trash, etc. W/o his confirmation, needless to say, my money was not refunded and this dive remains on the Hotwire network. Ridiculous and Disappointing!! That hotel is a health code violation waiting to happen. I have been a loyal Hotwire user for 15 years and not once in over 65+ reservations have I ever had a complaint worthy of leaving this type of review. Hotwire is damaging its reputation by keeping this hovel on its network of hotels.

Pleasantly surprised by my unplanned, unexpected stay at the Scottish Inn, Wrightstown. The clerk was very pleasant, my room was better than I anticipated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of hot water for shower. A/C worked great. And for a Friday night, the price was right. Recommended for the budget traveler who enjoys staying at different hotels as part of the adventure! (Plenty of places to eat just up and down the street as well!)

I booked a room and the service listed smoking the clerk would not change the status, and placed me in a room with a broken mirror, dirty. I asked to be moved to another room, this room was any worse. Dirty cigarette burned carpet and linens, I brought the clerk into the room to show him the holes in walls cigarettes burns to the 60% of the carpet. No coffee service in room no iron or ironing board, I will say the room had a fridge and microwave and nice TV, the bathroom was dirty but the towel and sheets were clean bed spread look like it had blood stains and Cigarette burns. No fire protection measure except smoke alarm in room domestic not connected to Alarm.
