Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cotulla

This place was so unsanitary I literally would not let my dog walk on the floor. We checked into the room after 1:30 am after driving over 8 hours, we’re immediately charged for the 2 nights we booked even though no other hotels charge until checkout but the front desk clerk tried to tell me all hotels charge on check in which is simply not true but what came next I saw why they were so anxious to hurry and charge me: I got in the room and saw the accommodations which were sheets that should have been thrown out long ago from all of the stains and the towels were in the same condition- they weren’t even white; the carpets were so soiled that the room smelled. There were rat ( or mouse) droppings on the linens that were on the bed, hairs on the bed, flies in the room, both alive and dead ones stuck to the walls, bodily fluids hardened and stuck on the walls as well, the only light in the bathroom was the mirror and it was SUPER dim… no. So I politely go back to the front desk about 3 minutes later and tell the clerk me and my dog will be checking out and all of the reasons why, she says she can give me another room. I let her know I do not want another room in that hotel, it is unclean and we will not be staying. So she asks several more times, “ what is the reason why “ and tries to get me to come look at “ a better room” and I let her know no, I should have had a better room upon check in. I will not be staying and she lets me know if I leave I won’t get my money back for the night. Not getting eaten by bed bugs or getting roaches or having my dog harassed by rats is more important than those cheap nasty rooms. They ought to be ashamed and I’m baffled how they can be that nasty and serve breakfast. This ought to be a health code violation.

It's clean and will serve its purpose. Staff is thoughtful and friendly. But it's in the early stages of deferred maintenance, so some stuff just doesn't work. The side door no longer shuts automatically so it's at the mercy of guests to close it (or leave the hotel open to whomever). The heat pump has no direct control -- just a weird thermostat where at least one of the buttons doesn't work. The units cover rattled. Breakfast was sub par but adequate. I'd be tempted to give it three stars except the people working there have tried so hard to compensate for corporate laxity.

Rooms are dirty, breakfast is brought during the night n left out in the breakfast area until the morning. There was blood in the bathroom from previous renter. Rooms had left over crumbs all over, dusty everywhere. The lighting is so bad in the bathroom n bedroom, I guess so you can’t see how dirty it is.

Beverage satisfied customer I am a truck driver and I was able to park my truck there and stay they had a microwave a refrigerator a iron and ironing board clean restrooms clean rooms very clean outside always have someone to clean the area outside it was a good stay for me the two days that I stayed there

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! They don’t clean they just swap out towels and make the beds! Last time I stayed there was this week, restroom trash can was full of trash, soap was still on sink and in shower! Behind the door in the restroom was clothes and trash! 😡
