Motel 6 Brownsville TX North

Although this hotel has been remodeled and updated, they are understaffed and in need of continued upgrades. I noticed they do not have automatic door nor handicapped access to the front or side doors. They do have one working elevator. We stayed for a few nights and the same 2 cars were parked on the fire zone, which is a safety hazard. In the rooms, The floor although, laminate was dirty and could not be walked on barefoot. There is no coffee maker in the room. There is no security guard and there appeared to be some homeless People hanging around the hotel at all times. We took our own comforters and I’m glad we did because the bed cover was dirty. It is reasonably priced. As they say, you get what you pay for.

If you intend staying in this hotel, you might want to try the third floor as the bottom one leaves a lot to be desired. Rock hard beds, flat (2only) pillows Rusted fridges, painted bath tubs. Ripped shower curtain. Peeled vinyl on floor plus stained. And should you look at the photos on the travel websites or the advert that is on tv at the moment... this hotel looks nothing like that. Two of the front desk staff were great , but manager seems to be unable to return calls as requested. Not surprising as he spent most of his time on his cell sitting out back of the hotel for the Time we were there.would not recommend this location but would be happy to recommend the other location which is just down the street.

Folk's I stayed here due to the location and the price. I usually stay at 5 star hotels but decided since I am traveling by myself and not my son, why not. the room is very clean and the front desk staff are very professional and friendly. However, the hotel is in need of up grading their pluming system in the rooms. I was assigned a room first that had issues with the bathtub drain, then I got another room assigned due to the tub issues and the other one had sink issues so this seems to appear to have an issues with the hotel so I hope they inspect their systems soon. Other than that, it was good stay due to location and price.
