Staybridge Suites Austin South Interstate Hwy 35 an IHG Hotel

We stayed in a King Suite in room 418 which was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. It was possible to arrange for some rides within a five-mile radius, and to have a ride to return to the airport. The morning breakfast included some hot dishes such as scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, as well as options for waffles. Having a full-size fridge, microwave and hot plate was convenient as well. The complimentary laundry facilities were very clean and easy to operate. A Fiesta Mart grocery store is located three blocks away.

Generally pleased with our 2 night stay at this South Austin hotel. Michael, the manager, was attentive and pleasant. The facility was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was you basic fare with some hot options, which is nice. The dining area was reasonable comfortable. Our room suite was comfortable and the a/c worked well. The restroom is not separated by a door from the bedroom so that can be a problem if one party wants to sleep in while another wants to shower and get ready for the day. The freeway noise from the nearby I-35 can be annoying but the room a/c unit can help with that. And finally, be aware that the hotel charges a $7 per day parking fee. This unfortunate fee is becoming more common in our large cities.

We stayed overnight while traveling through. Check in was good and the staff were friendly. Was told there was a social hour soon and we had two free drinks of wine or beer per person. Our room was nice. Clean and comfortable. The fan on the heater was very loud though so we had to turn that off. We went to the social hour to find nachos being served but you need tickets for beverages. Went back to the desk for those. Went to the lounge to be told they had no drinks. They said they had told the manager they were out the day before but nothing had been done and go to the desk to complain. Poor service there. Breakfast was good. Nice and fresh. When we checked the bill we found the charge for our dog was almost as much as it was for us. The amount was not mentioned to us ahead of time. Plus they charged $7.00 to park in their parking lot. That was not mentioned either. I have paid dog charges before but never that high. They should tell you about extra fees before you check in completely. The way they do it is deceitful.

Better than expected, especially given the cost. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating, got me the type of room I expected. Immediately responded if there was any issue with my room. Internet was quick, bedroom was roomy, would definitely stay here again on business.

We stayed here while taking our daughter to college for drop off. We arrived very early for check in as we drove through the night. The front desk was extremely accommodating and got us into a room with no wait. We were able to go up and sleep for a bit before heading out. The room was clean and spacious. We asked for extra towels and they were delivered right away. It was very convenient having a large refrigerator and utensils, plates etc. Breakfast was good. They had waffles, sausage, and potatoes all days. They usually had an egg dish and fruit as well. Staff was always pleasant and eager to help. I would definitely stay here again
