I had a lovely experience staying at this small, charming hotel located near a couple of larger Marriott properties. The location is quiet, safe, and convenient. Check-in was seamless—quick and efficient—which was a great first impression. The room was spacious and well-equipped with essential amenities like a coffee maker, refrigerator, and even a full mini kitchen with basic cooking utensils. It also featured a sofa bed and a small desk, perfect for getting some work done. Both the room and bathroom were impeccably clean, adding to the comfort of the stay. The hotel offers a decent breakfast, which was a nice perk. However, I did notice a couple of drawbacks. Breakfast service ends quite early—9:00 AM on weekdays and 9:30 AM on weekends. If you arrive within 30 minutes of closing, some items including coffee may already be gone, and they don't replenish them, which can be disappointing. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for those seeking a quiet, comfortable stay with great basic amenities, though there’s some room for improvement in the breakfast experience. Would definitely recommend it for its cleanliness, spacious rooms, and location!

The checkin was awesome we were upgraded- thank you! The guy at check in helped with doors, etc. He told us breakfast was til 930 am for Tuesday morning. We had a problem with the sofabed mattress being disgusting at 1130pm, when we went to setup for our son. It was handled quickly with a new /clean mattress. However the downgraded star is the gentleman at breakfast barking at me when I asked for a plate at 8:55 am. Waiting for a waffle til 9:20! He told me breakfast was closing. Hence no plates when I arrived at 845? I told him I was told 9:30 am so excuse me. But I’ll get some breakfast, if I had a plate. He then had to grill me who would give me that info? That’s soo incorrect! At least 10 people all stated this. So instead of keeping it open til 930. He continued yelling at us; it’s closed. So are great stay now isn’t a great stay due to him! So the gentleman working front desk/breakfast on July 9 barking at multiple people that we are so wrong. We just want breakfast and get on with our day! It was so uncalled for. The beds were comfy, rooms clean, well stocked! And the gentleman at checkin was great the night before very pleasant!

Hotel: This is a nice hotel that appears recently renovated. The lobby is nice and they have a great breakfast every morning. Staff: The staff were kind and accommodating. Room: Great size with a full kitchen. Really nice with kids. There was no noise at all, very comfortable. Only complaint is the rooms are very dark, even with the blinds open. Then at night the blinds don’t keep all the light out…. Bathroom: Kind of small and weird shape. The door barely cleared the toilet, and the sink was behind the door. Also, the water pressure is poor. Sleep: The beds are very comfortable, it was quiet. The shades did let a lot of light in. Still no issues sleeping. -flyou

I always stay at this residence inn whenever I have to come for business travel. I'm usually on travel for about a week at a time and this property has everything I need. Whether it's free breakfast, a kitchenette with ability to cook food, a gym, laundry facilities and easy access to I-35. When I checked in I had a few issues with missing items in the room and maintenance, but that was quickly addressed by Sean at the front desk. He was wonderful, professional and timely about getting my issues resolved. Residence Inn Austin South will be my go to on my work trips!

We recommend the Residence Inn Austin South. Great location & one of the only reasonably priced hotels with an OUTDOOR pool! Breakfast service & front desk service were both well above average. Rooms are large with full kitchen amenities. Marriott restaurant two buildings over is worth a meal!
