Fairfield Inn & Suites Amarillo Airport

I really enjoyed this hotel. I actually thought it was new due to the upkeep. I was greeted and checked in by Casey. He was a great host. He checked me in efficiently and pleasantly. He recognized my needs before I asked him. I was appreciative of his customer service because I was extremely tired. In addition the breakfast buffet setup was one of the best setup and cleanest I’ve seen. They even had little covers for forks. And the new Buccees is across the highway. Love it

My wife was impressed by the front desk clerk during a mission to get conditioner (housekeeping had forgotten to stock it in our bathroom). On the other hand, 2 out of 3 shower supplies were ripped off the wall, and the caulk between the shower and wall had completely failed. At breakfast, the potatoes were empty when we arrived and empty when we left. We like that this hotel is in a safe area and probably would stay here again. Just wish it were a little better run.

This was an unexpected road trip and we needed a place to crash for 5-6 hours. Nice to have a friendly greeting from alert desk clerk at this hour. Breakfast was adequate in the morning to get us on our way. Room was clean and comfortable. No airport noise heard.

There is no restaurant or bar. This really needs to be changed. If you don’t have an open bar, at least have a reception/happy hour. Your option is to walk to Buffalo Wild Wings if you don’t want to go out. Rooms are nice and roomy. There was not enough staff to tend to requests and needs. I would recommend another hotel

Excellent facility and stay. At check-in, Brady was very customer oriented and provided us excellent service. Facility was nice, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, with a variety available. Off I 40 but was quiet and no noise issues. Highly recommend you stay at this Fairfield. We have stayed here before but noticed some negative reviews and based on past experience we wondered why. We booked anyway. We were not disappointed in any manner and then wondered about the negative reviews. We base our review on our great experience. I do wonder though, what might motive some negative reviews. As we were checking out some other guest came up, very obnoxiously demanded to see the manager now. It was just after 7 AM, and limited staff. The person checking us out was polite and said he would be with him as soon as he finished with us. Slow internet issue delayed what he was doing in checking us out but not a big deal. The guy walked away then. Professionally handled by the person on duty, and if that person gives a negative review, his attitude probably has something to do with it. All guests are treated equally and as a customer, treat the staff as you would want to be treated as well.
