After just experiencing the worst courtyard in history in Fort Worth Cityview, this courtyard was above being a wonderfully excellent experience. Very much like what you could expect from Marriott in days past- now long gone. Bistro side Rob- holy cow he was a breath of fresh air with outstanding drink creations and conversation. Rob made our stay 10 stars!!! Actually we can remember in the past, driving past Abilene, staggeringly tired, because we knew there was nowhere decent to stay. We cannot get over how much this town has progressed and become a much better experience.

Recently enjoyed a brief but satisfactory one night stay. Hotel was very clean and my queen bed comfortable. Nice bedding and nice business traveler amenities in the room, like a movable desk and a little desk by the sofa chair. Only two hiccups to mention: no soap with my bathroom sink. Only soap dispenser was attached to the back wall of the shower; and no signage showing where breakfast area was. Ends up it's between the Courtyard and TownePlace Suites next door. At check in, desk clerk said nothing about it. Again, minor issues but worth mentioning. All in all I'd stay here again. Oh, the woman running the breakfast area was friendly, helpful, and worked hard to make it a nice experience for us guests.

Very nice staff. Hotel is slightly below average for what I expect for Marriott - especially at the price they charge per night. No water at check-in - this was a first for me at a Marriott. No free upgrade. The room is a little older. No USB plug-ins and the electric outlets by the beds are all super loose and move. I would not recommend this place - especially for the cost. I could have stayed in a cheap hotel and experienced the same service. I use Marriott because they have great hotels usually for the price you pay. This one is definitely not in the same class. Would have given one star, but the kindness of the staff was worth a star

I made reservations for 2 rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Northeast in Abilene TX as my grandsons had football games, called and spoke with Sue on Thursday, Oct. 13 who confirmed my reservation and went so far as to go ahead and block my rooms for arrival on Friday, Oct 14. After a 3 hour drive with an infant and kids, we arrive at the hotel for me to be told that my reservations had been canceled. I then asked who canceled them because I did not, Sue checks the system and says it was strange because there was not a name of who canceled the reservations. I assured her I did not as I would have gotten a confirmation email with the cancelation and would not drive 3 hours when I knew it was homecoming for Abilene and all the hotels were pretty much booked. Sue then gets on the phone with whom I assume to be the manager and then I was told she would call the two Marriott hotels next door. Sue speaks with Jessica at Residence Inn and they had 4 rooms left, I advised Sue I am using my points and that the Residence Inn was not allowing points. Sue assures me they would accommodate us. I go to the Residence Inn and speak with Jessica, she then asks me to go online to see if it would allow me to use my points, it did not. I then spoke with Denise the MOD, she advised that the Courtyard should have sent me with a voucher for the rooms as it seems it was their fault my rooms were canceled. Denise then speaks first with Sue and then with Katy who I think was the sales manager at Courtyard to explain the situation and that they should have provided me with a voucher. Denise states Katy was very rude and proceeded to hang up the phone in her face. Fast forward, Denise at the Residence Inn stated for us not to worry as this was not our fault and provided us with 2 rooms. Denise and her staff were sympathetic to our needs and very helpful and gracious. Thank you Denise and Jessica for your assistance in what could have otherwise been a disaster.
