Grandview Experience Lodge

I stayed here with a friend to attend the Fall Creek Falls Bluegrass/Music Festival. The cabin was spatial with vaulted ceilings. The grounds were neatly groomed and spacious also. It was comfortable and attractive. The owners were friendly and attentive to our needs. They own two friendly dogs that didn’t bother us a bit. I would stay here again.

the pool liner is pulling away from the sidewalls causing a dangerous hazard for young children. The main area is not as pictured, and closed. The main area is used as a daycare center during the weekday. At one point 7 children under age 10 were climbing in and on top of the community golf cart. I feel the positive comments here were AI written as none of them are true. We left 5 days early. We were lucky to find Deer Park Rentals who saved us. They are on property - good luck! If you are looking to get hurt and sue this is your place to stay!

Cellular connections are very intermittent in the area, so information on haw to access the gated property was not provided until we could get in the room and access the internet. We stayed in Room 3, evidently the room next door is the onsite property manager. They were up talking loudly and playing the TV well passed three in the morning, our stay was on a Thursday, I can’t imagine how late they stay active on the weekends! Found the kitchen to have an active ant and roach population. Despite asking us several times if we were traveling with a cat or dog, each time we responded “No” , I found a $50 “Pet Fee” on my bill. I’ve thrown away couches in better condition than the one in the room. Overall, I’d say they “Got Me” on this stay. Original room stay was advertised as a special for $96, but after adding a $65 room cleaning fee, an erroneous Pet Fee ($50) and various taxes the $96 special was $237! Add it all together, I would pass on ever staying here again, or even recommending it to anyone!

Unfortunately we had a really bad visit that was cut short and spent 0/2 nights at this lodge. Julia offered us a new room the next morning, but we had already left the night before due to an ant infestation in the kitchen. This was the last thing we wanted to encounter on our vacation. There was also a note that the sheets didn't need to be removed from the beds after our stay, which made us concerned that the sheets may not be clean. We had to foot nearly the full cost of the bill. The host only credited us back $150, leaving us with a nearly $500 bill for a place that we didn't spend even one night at. I don't recommend it.

Management was incredibly rude. Barged into our unit when they thought we were gone to steal all the ice from our ice machine to cool down beers they were selling. Didn’t apologize for barging in. One of the dogs on site had a serious leg injury. When we asked management if they were aware of this injury they just shrugged and said “car ran him over” without any concern for the well-being of that dog. Always looking for an excuse to up-charge. Pressured all guests to a concert with a surprise entry fee. Collected after we had already been sitting. The entire experience with management was very uncomfortable. Would not recommend.
