I would not recommend staying here. Very overpriced and terrible customer service. We paid over $300 per night and had no hot water in our shower. I asked for a discount because of the lack of hot water and they said they couldnât give me a discount. I asked for the manager to call or email me and did not hear back. There are plenty of other choices. I would skip this hotel.

Stay somewhere else. This hotel is bare bones. There are no fridges, no microwaves, no dressers, no closets, no trash cans in the main space. The only place to hang clothes is on pegs on the walls like a modified indoor clothes line. No place to put socks, so plan on living out of your suitcase for your stay. The other huge issue is the bathroom. There is a sliding barn door with a wavy kind of glass on it, so you can literally see someone sitting on the toilet. Not clearly, but you can see what they are doing in there. If someone is in the bathroom, you might as well be in there with them, you can hear everything. The staff was nice, and the hotel is walkable to restaurants and shopping, that's the only reason it gets 2 stars.

Stayed at the Moxy for a weekend - my husband and me. The pros? The location. Walkable to restaurants and shops in area. Decent bar. The cons? Such a loud hotel! You can hear people in rooms next door and above you. You hear every door close. You hear outside traffic. The water in the sink and shower barely got above warm. No closet - just pegs and a couple hangers for clothes. Slider barn door to bathroom wouldnât stay closed - kept sliding open. The thermostat has a green light on it that lights up the bed and lights on the bathroom plug shine through the window thatâs in the shower. Be sure to find a way to cover all those if you like a pitch black room to sleep!

I think this brand of hotels is one of those hotels you either will love or hate, there really isn't any in between but for us, we love this hotel. I have to come to Vanderbilt a few times a year for procedures so we love this hotel for it's proximity and we are always here on either a Sunday or a Monday, so we just park for free up the street and walk to the hotel. I am a platinum member so I usually receive a nice upgrade and we love the poker chips to get a free drink at their bar. It's a great location for breakfast places as biscuit love is right across the street and Fido, Ruby Sunshine, and the pancake pantry are maybe a block away. There are plenty of dinner options within walking distance too as well as a Jeni's ice cream. We find this hotel to be very quiet (we have never stayed on a weekend though) and keep in mind, this is a minimalist hotel so you won't find a ton of furniture in your room just your basics which is all we need. Overall, we find the staff to be so very friendly and they even remember us when we arrive now. Please note this is not a luxury hotel and if you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, this brand might not be for you.

Fun hotel that is close to all that 12 South and the Vanderbilt area have to offer. I stayed here on a recent visit and was pleasantly surprised by how close it is to so many great restaurants and bars, as well as being super close to Vanderbilt and Belmont University. Still, it's actual location is on a pretty quiet street. From the decorations and having the check-in desk set up at the bar, it seems like it's geared toward partying, but it was still quiet during my stay. I liked that you get a chip when you check in for a free drink at the bar. I also liked the smart TVs in the rooms, so you can watch Netflix in the evening, if you are not out on the town. My only slight complaints are that the beds were a little stiff for my taste and the sliding door to the bathroom had a hard time staying shut.
