Unfortunately this was the worst Hampton Inn experience I have ever had. Positives: Staff was nice Air conditioning worked well. Got my free water because I am Hilton Gold Very close to Vanderbilt University. Negatives: The hotel gave me the ick. Dirty all around. First room had a bug on the bed (room 619) Second room (527) is where we landed for three nights. Dirty mattress Dirty bathroom handle Tub was gross No way to adjust shower head spray Only one hook for a towel behind the door. (The room has two beds which means 1-4 people could be staying there yet there is no place to hang toiletry bag unless you use the one hook on the door.) No one told us there is no housekeeping unless you ask for it so after day one I asked for towels. Never got them. I called day 2 and I couldn’t wait any longer and had to use hand towels. Took too long. Very frustrating. We happened to arrive during a tornado warning and the staff gave us no direction. I think one of the elevators wasn’t working. Finally- the floor in the hallways were dirty the whole time. Maybe I wouldn’t say something but since we had to sit on the tile floor during the tornado watch, I am mentioning it because all The stuff I noticed on the floor was still there when we left. We were reimbursed a little for our stay. Please see photos.

Upon check in the clerk said they were out of complementary water for the Hilton Honors level people, she apologized and was pleasant. When we stayed here one of the two elevators was not working. The hotel didn't bother to post anything that it was out of service. Everyone was waiting for one elevator that was very slow which created for very unhappy people waiting to go up or down. I went to the front desk to ask to switch rooms because the room I was in was musty and the carpet was all wet. Smelled like someone had urinated on the floor. I stood there at the desk for over 1 minute as the manager held a conversation with the front desk clerk completely ignoring me. This is NOT customer service. I felt like I didnt really matter.as a customer. The rooms were outdated and in need a a fresh coat of paint and better attention to detail when cleaning. The lobby washroom was in terrible shape. the toiled seat was falling off and there were paper towels all over the floor and the garbage can was overflowing. This is conveniently located and could be so much more.

Love this place, staff, full breakfast, no parking garage all parking outdoors, quite location, close to a park, dining, downtown is great in my book. The suites are great, beds, pillows, kitchen a stove top, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with a freezer pull out sofa bed, great mattress, separate bedroom, and bathroom. You can close the sitting area, bedroom, bathroom, this room has 2 TV's. They popcorn in the afternoon, have coffee and all kind of hot tea thru the day there is a sitting area with a TV, gas fireplace. If you ever have any needs check with the front desk or ask for manager, they will get you taken care quick. Give them a try, hope you have a great experience.

We were referred here by Vanderbilt because my father is taking cancer treatments. The hotel is clean and staff are kind. There is a good breakfast offered, and always popcorn in the lobby. Nice outdoor pool and BBQ area as well. The treadmills need attention in the gym. Overall good experience.

Elevators broken. No advance notice. Had to use stairs to 4th floor with luggage. Only concession was free parking in outdoor lot - $35 value. Plumbing problem has pipes screaming like an alarm, waking people up at 1AM. Shampoo out in shower. Table so uneven, items fell to floor.
