Had a non functioning toilet and had to use the one in the lobby. I asked for 5,000 points as compensation from the desk clerk and he agreed. No points given so I left a message with the General Manager and never heard back. The manager of the hotel was working the desk the night I checked in. Very friendly but holding a dog the whole time. Not very professional. Room quality other then the malfunctioning toilet was fine. Very comfortable bed. Good channel selection for the TV. Would have rated higher if I had received my points or follow up.

Due to a flight cancellation pertaining to weather related issues, I looked at the reviews before booking. Front desk representative Briana was extremely helpful and attentive with all questions. She made sure I had a smooth process with checking out.

They gave away my room. First time it's ever happened to me at a hotel. And, I have elite status with IHG. Anyways, I booked a king standard and was downgraded to a 2-queen after they assigned me to a handicap room. If I wanted a handicap or 2-queen room, I would have booked a handicap room or a 2-queen room. And of course, there was no manager or supervisor working at 8 pm to resolve the issue or offer me any kind of compensation. That aside: In terms of IHG elite status recognition, there was none. I didn't even get a bottle of water. I asked for water and was told I had to buy it. Normally, you get one at check-in or maybe there's a bottle of water in the room. There's a small pantry off the lobby with sodas, beer, and some sandwiches. No wine. I asked if there was wine and was told I had to go to their sister hotel, the Cambria, next door. They have a full bar and even a restaurant. That makes no sense whatsoever. Why would you send customers to a competing hotel from a different chain, even if it's owned or managed by the same people? If you sell beer in the pantry, have some wine. Rooms looks and feels newish. Not brand new, but maybe 3 or 4 years old. Avid is a newish IHG brand. An IHG competitor to a Comfort Inn and Best Western. The bed was okay. IHG's marketing for Avid promises an amazing mattress and good quality linen. It was a pretty generic hotel mattress. The sheets were nice but the duvet was a cheap polyester waffled duvet and very scratchy. It was not the duvet pictured in hotel photos. In terms of cleanliness, it was very clean. It had a huge TV. There were a sufficient number of accessible USB and electrical outlets. There was also a small desk with an actual chair -- something some brands have eliminated. No hangers for the open closet. Just hooks. Not sure makes sense, but I guess it's one less thing owners have to buy and one less thing that someone can steal. In the bathroom, the toiletries have been replaced by dispensers. No bar of soap is provided. No cleansing cloth is provided. The walk-in shower was small and the water pressure was poor. Worse yet, the seal wasn't good as water went all over the floor outside the shower. The worst part of the hotel besides having my room given away was the noise. There is absolutely ZERO noise insulation. You can hear planes all night long. They sound like they're right above your room and landing in the parking lot next to the hotel. You can also hear everything in the parking lot. Including the semi-trucks loading up at 6 am. For a newly built hotel, the awful noise insulation is completely and totally unacceptable. All things considered, you get what you pay for. Yes, it's clean. Yes, it's newish. But they treat guests, including those with IHG elite status, poorly, almost no amenities or services are provided, and the noise insulation is awful. I won't return.

We have stayed in other AVID properties in the past so we chose to stay here due to proximity to airport and price. Staff was SOOOOO kind. Check in was quick and easy. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. LOTS of variety. Plenty of options and freshly ground drip coffee- like a mini starbucks! Room had all the basics except there is NO microwave in the room. Limited storage as well. Rooms are VERY clean and modern. Everything was in good working order. Would stay here again!

After checking in and out of a horrible hotel, we found this gem. The rooms are spotless. The whole hotel is spotless. It is brand new and well kept. The beds are comfortable. The pillows are comfortable and the staff is wonderful. They make warm homemade cookies every day and they make popcorn every day for the guests. At no charge, they also have coffee free every day 24 hours a day, and they have free breakfast which included an egg, white burrito, cereal, toast, bagels, juice, and other things. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and I will definitely be using this hotel when I go back again to Nashville.
