Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis Beale Street

My family was awakened by loud fighting and screaming in the hallway around 2:30 am. It was something I have never experienced before. We attempted to contact the front desk for 30 minutes, however, no one picked up. After 30 minutes, someone from the front desk finally picked up and sent a security guard to address the situation. We felt so unsafe after this incident that we could not get back to sleep and decided to check out at 6:30 am. The hotel stated there was nothing they could do for this inconvenience since we booked through a third party. There was no empathy for the situation. I would think twice before booking here, especially if you are traveling with small kids.

As mentioned in other reviews, one of the elevators is out of service. When I checked in two full tour buses were also checking in at the same time. With only one working elevator and 80+ people trying to get to their respective floors, the wait was unbearable. How long does it take to repair a broken elevator? Although the location was excellent, I would not recommend this property due to maintenance issues.

Our stay at the Hampton was great! We were on a girls trip and this was the perfect location. It was around the corner from Beale Street and within walking distance of music and eateries. The staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The clerk on our last night, March 9, arranged transportation for us. The best part of the stay was Ashley in the dining room. She is a gem! We got there one morning right when they were picking up breakfast and she served us and made sure we had what we wanted. Every morning she waited on us and gave us coupons to the Bass Pro Shop. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a great location for walking to the many happenings on Beale Street and surrounding areas. Safe and short walk to all the local music and food venues in this part of town. Tammie at the front desk was welcoming and the staff overall were very nice. Excellent free breakfast!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. Upper management will allow their staff to berate and harass their guests. I stayed at this property in November of 2024 and was treated horrible by Sina and Tammy. My mother was also treated unfairly by Tammy. Upper management does not set a high bar for their staff nor follow their own policies. SHAME IN YOU HAMPTON INN
