Southern Inn

There’s so many negative points about this hotel . Let me preface by saying this room was so nasty it took me 2 days to get it sanitary . It’s the only hotel in town that allows pets . This is the only reason I stayed !!!! After getting it cleaned , I decided to stay while apartment shopping , their washer took my money , I called the front desk as well as made several trips to the front office and still have not been reenbused or had the owner to talk to me about the issue . I was having to pay my room for the week a few hours after 11 . They said they were charging me 25 dollars for a late fee but they didn’t . So I thought maybe they knew I had to wait til after work and decided to work with me . I even asked the front desk if I was all paid up and she said yes .3 days later she came and said I infacr owed a Kate deer and since it hadn’t been paid 8 now owe another late fee for the first Kate fee !! I’ve asked to speak to the owner once again , nothing ! They have now deactivated my key . I would never ever reccomend staying at this hotel .theres also mild growing in most every room . I’ve been at this hotel since 10/5 I pay every week . Not to mention that this place is unsafe for a female or children to be alone .

We paid $3000 through expedia for 2 rooms (5 days in one, 3 in the other) during Bonnaroo. We arrived at the hotel and were told the double rooms we booked were not available, single kings only. No discount offered. We were then informed (quite rudely) by the man working the desk there would be a 425 damage deposit on the card put on the card that would be returned after checkout. We checked out 2 days ago, I asked the same rude man upon check out about the deposit and he assured the refund would be issued. Now 2 days later I called to ask when to expect it, and I'm getting a complete runaround; "I don't know what your talking about, we don't usually do that" this lady seemed nicer than the guy offered to call the owner and call me back. She did, but told me "I can't help you, you'll have to call expedia" I said my card has 2 charges from expedia and one from the southern inn. Expedia didn't charge me a damage deposit you did. I go nowhere and will probably have to pay 425 extra on top of the ridiculous original amount. I've stay at a lot of rooms all over places. This was by far the worst experience I've had

They are rude people trying to sell stuff to us bugs knocking on the door 25 minutes to check out. Just an upgrade from being homeless. Asked for toilet paper and the woman just looked at my wife and laughed will never come back to this dive ever again. I will recommend nobody stays here!!!

Unless this place is the last available place in Manchester stay away from it. It looks nothing like the pictures shown. It is dirty and haven’t seen a person cleaning and I have been here a week. I stayed here last year and will admit it’s a little better this year at least I didn’t have to spend most of my first day cleaning the room before I would sleep, bathe, or even use the toilet. I have there as a worker for the festival and have no other choice but to stay

I didn't expect quality at this price point, but I did expect CLEAN. The room had a an awful stench. I can't even describe it. It almost knocked me out opening the door. The floors were not vacuumed. The carpeting is dark and you could see stuff all over the floor in almost every space. There was a hair on the sheet when I pulled the cover back. The blankets have cigarette burns (non-smoking room) and are stained up on the underside (do they even wash them?!), the lampshade was disgusting...yellow from years of smoking (again, non-smoking room). I was afraid to even touch it to turn it on and off. There was a film of dirt/nicotine covering it. The bathroom door was filthy and apparently never wiped down, and the fixtures and plumbing with dirty, old caulk was just gross. The room itself has not been updated since it was originally built. The curtains are lined, but NOT blackout. I don't think they were even hotel curtains. The bedding, pillows and mattress were original and not comfortable at all. Just not worth a "budget" price even.
