It was an amazing but short stay! Candace and Randele made me and my friends feel very welcome! Will definitely try staying here again if I go to Gatlinburg! It is situated in a safe and quiet spot in Gatlinburg. I also enjoyed the soothing sound of water from the creek! Gets you in a state of zen when going to sleep.

Our dogs were so happy here. Very close to the river walk and the uncrowded end of Gatlinburg. So beautiful this time of year, when the mountains and trees are still a little blah. I love the mountains and river all year. Trail heads within .4 miles. Perfectly clean and modernized.

Great location! Clean rooms! Overlooking creek was wonderful! Sounded great! Really nice fire place. Faucet in bathroom over sink… is way too small to wash your hands. It’s just a little thing. We put a wash cloth under the faucet bc the water runs all over the countertop when washing hands. Friendly at the front desk. We would stay here again!

Arrived and found cockroaches larger than 2 inches. We were able to capture one, pictured. Front desk staff and property manager did not believe we had cockroaches. They stated they would send maintenance to determine what it was, and that it was probably a beetle or stink bug.. Maintenance was sent to our room, and confirmed it was (obviously) a cockroach. He then sprayed the room with us in it. Property manager then had the front desk call us back to inform us “maintenance confirmed you had one cockroach (we only had caught and killed one, but saw multiple..), and maintenance has resolved your situation. We will NOT be moving you or providing you a refund”. I could not help but laugh! Resolved the situation?! Ma’am - we had cockroaches in our room, you didn’t believe us, and the problem has been resolved from a spray while we were in the room?! The worst customer service experience I have ever had. It is honestly disgusting they didn’t insist on having us moved, and how they would allow guests to sleep in that environment. There have been other bugs, food crumbs, and dust/dirt throughout our room. The furniture is very beat-up (dresser cracking and peeling, drawers are broken, etc). We called Hilton customer service, and they moved us to a new property (Bent Creek). The staff at Bent Creek have been phenomenal. We are thankful for the change - and will never stay at this Hampton Inn again!

I would love to give the hotel 5 stars instead of 4. Allow me to explain….Our check in was super smooth. Everyone on the staff was courteous and professional to a fault. Our room was clean and quiet, and the maid service was excellent. Beds were comfy too…..everything you’d expect from a Hilton. And it was close to several great restaurants and all the downtown shops and activities. However, during our entire stay, we could not get on WIFI due to the room’s 2nd floor location. To their credit, they tried to help by giving us a special promo code to sign on, but no luck. Our room also had a balcony that faced the creek. Our last night, we stood on it and watched an enormous bear wander around directly below us. Pretty cool. But it appeared the balcony had not been swept or dusted in some time. Our chairs had dirt on them and the railing had spider and cob webs throughout. Certainly not a deal breaker, but not quite what I’ve come to expect from Hilton. On one additional positive note, the free breakfast was really quite good. And compared to the money you’d spend next door at Crockett’s, it was a real gift. Make no mistake about it. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat, but we simply think the Hilton standard was just a little “off” and we’d suggest making sure the balcony is at least dusted and swept before a guest checks in, and perhaps a WIFI boost for those rooms that struggle to maintain a signal cleanly. If I could give 4 1/2 stars I would! We truly did enjoy our stay!
