The desk clerk's body language said everything. He was leaning on the desk and wearing leisure outfit. In itself this didn't bother me. He was polite & efficient. It did display the overall theme of the hotel. You just have to TRY & this location doesn't try. The 1st thing we noticed was the pool was a room with a concrete floor. There is not a pool. We approached our room off the elevator and our room door was propped open prior to checkin. I confirmed our room with the desk. Then, we didn't have towels. A hand towel & wash cloth laid on the sink (clean? Dirty?) and a bath mat on the tub. No shampoo. The room was adequate but outdated and needs a deep clean. The sheets were clean thank goodness & appeared surfaces and bathroom were cleaned. The doors, furniture and walls are almost grey/black with accumulated filth. Fixtures are very old. "Hot" Breakfast was qualified by a partial pan of scrambled eggs & waffle makers. There were 4 yogurt cups in a fridge, 3 pieces of bread, half dozen bite sized muffins & 2 kinds of plain cereal. Hardly what I consider a "Hot breakfast." The biggest scam is the warning to return room key to "avoid a $15 charge." (Picture) I have NEVER encountered this & the cards do not cost $15. Seriously?! The single positive was that staff was friendly. Originally I thought the price was decent. Nope. It fits the scope. Lazy operation. Very easy steps would improve this property & stay. They just don't want to.make it better.

We had a reservation to stay here over Thanksgiving. Looking at the photos it looked nice and clean and we had stayed here in 2018 and it was nice. Well folks- it looks like they haven’t done anything to this place since 2018! BUYER BEWARE!! The photos that they present when you are booking are nothing like what the room looks like. It is dirty, smoke alarms hanging from the ceiling, phone not hooked up to anything, stains on the sheets and bedding and it looks like when they painted they couldn’t be bothered taking down anything off the wall as there is paint splatter on everything. The carpets are gross and you can visibly see debris in the elevator shaft. Tried to speak to the manager and I was told the manager is “not reachable” ! I still have not received a call back. I had to reach out to Choice Hotels corporate to get any kind of refund after checking out after the 1st night. I still have not heard back from the manager after multiple calls. This hotel is not safe or clean!

I had a workshop in Franklin, TN and wanted a place nearby. I do not stay in places with outside doors due to safety issues. Choosing this place was different from where I would usually stay but felt it would be okay. The check in was okay, but when we asked about nearby restaurants, the clerk was no help. Then when I told him our room was not cleaned properly, he said, 'oh I'm sorry but that happens'. REALLY! There was someone's underwear in the corner and the bathroom was not good. I will not go back.

What an absolute nightmare… only good thing is Cracker Barrel next door. Mold in bathroom, toilet seat is completely off. Shower/tub is literally cracking. Pool is empty, doors stick. Tv doesn’t work. What else? Omg omg omg they just want 200 characters. This place is BAD!

Disgusting. Another "Choice" Hotels disappointment. The first thing I noticed when I walked in my room was the thick smell of very old cigarette smoke. Then I saw the almost comical dilapidated and dated whirlpool tub right there in the room, like something from the Playboy Mansion circa 1972. There were lights out everywhere. The one on the ceiling over the sink did not work at all. Two bulbs were out in the array over the mirror. The remote control had no back and did not work. I took it to the desk. The clerk there did promptly and politely change them and tried it on his TV. It changed the volume there, so we both assumed it was fixed. Back in the room, I found that it still could not change the channels, and anyway the reception was terrible. The bed was very worn out; it was literally concave on both sides from use. When I finally decided to lie down in the uninviting bed, I tried to lock the deadbolt on the door to find it was misaligned with the opening in the door frame. Locking the door was impossible. That was a good enough reason to leave and demand a refund, but it was late and I was tired, so I toughed it out and took my chances. Avoid this place at all costs.
