Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chattanooga South East Ridge

Driving back home to MI from FL. Had been driving all day & needed a hotel for one night, it was 11pm. Stopped at another hotel but all rooms were booked by the time we got there. I found the Fairfield on the same exit and called. I wasn't sure if I was calling the right hotel and Zach was kind enough to talk me through it & find out if I was near his hotel. When we decided I was close, Zach said they had only one room left. He saved it when I said we would be right there. He was professional, pleasant and went over and above to make sure he took care of us. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast the next morning was hot and good. It was Great one night stay and very convenientfor us, right off the expressway.

Pros: -Clean, aesthetically pleasing rooms -Helpful staff with genuine southern hospitality -Pet friendly -Good complimentary breakfast -Great location with easy access to Chattanooga and northern Georgia Cons: -Iron, ironing board and bathroom lock were defective -Air conditioning was not fully functional -Relatively uncomfortable pillows

We stayed here last night, partly because it’s pet friendly and partly because of the location. This 17-year old hotel just completed a major renovation, and it looks like a brand new hotel. Everything was spotless, the beds were wonderful, the breakfast was very good, and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The price was beyond reasonable, too. Highly recommend.

Partially remodeled. Furniture was nicked up and in poor condition but carpets and bed were updated. Bathroom door was stuck to the floor (swollen wood?) and could not open or close the door. Staff was friendly, just a place that is a little run down

I’m sad to say that this was the worst mariott stay i’ve ever had . i booked this hotel because it was a midway point in travel and the pool and hot tub looked like a great place to unwind after 11 hours in a car. I had to change my check in date and was able to do so but was still charged for an upgraded room in a standard room. After 11 hours in the car with a child i wasn’t going back down to ask to be moved. I went down to check out the pool before i told my kid about it after i seen the mold in our shower and dirty floor and am thankful i did as the pool was completely disgusting . Still against better judgement i decided we could get thru anything for the night , and i woke up the next morning with a rash all over my legs. thankfully my daughter and husband didn’t have any bites/rash like i did . The front desk staff were very nice , but the facility itself not great and i hate that my very expensive standard room left a lot to be desired, a rash and non useable amenities . I will stay hilton from now on. Hope this helps the next person
