Motel 6 Dyersburg TN

The price may be appealing, but this place is filthy and they were not honest with their dealings with us. The manager did not tell the the truth. The towels were so dirty and dingy. I absolutely would never stay here. We did not stay, we left. It smelled like stale cigarettes.

This hotel had potential but miserably failed. The sheets had stains on them, and the management attempted to make us believe that they were stains from the wash. They do not clean every room every day, and when asked why, the management claimed that room service must be requested before the staff leaves at 2 PM or they can do nothing. There were loud noises in the foyer after 10 PM, and they lasted beyond midnight. They never advertised a $50 hold prior to coming to this establishment. This was indeed a last-minute choice and will never be a choice again!

My wife and I stayed at the Motel 6 in Dyersburg while in the area recently after viewing the total solar eclipse in southeast Missouri and continuing our trip to visit family in Georgia. We managed to get ahead of the large wave of traffic once the eclipse was over and checked in just before 4:00 p.m. on the Monday of the eclipse. This was one of the best Motel 6 properties we have stayed in. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the room was exceptionally clean and had plenty of outlets in good places. The king size bed was comfortable and sturdy. It even had a refrigerator in the room and coffee in the office in the morning which my wife said was the best of our trip! The one thing I didn't like was that they will charge a $50 deposit on top of the reserved rate for everyone; assuming no issues with the condition of the room after checkout, they refund the deposit to your card. I don't like this, and for that reason I didn't give it 5 out of 5. As of my writing this I do see the $50 credit pending to my card as still processing a couple of days after our stay; I am optimistic it will settle and will get it back. However, the overall rate for the room was reasonable as I reserved the room almost a year before our stay and there was no pet fee. We would consider the motel again if we have an occasion to visit Dyersburg in the future.

The room was clean and somewhat updated. Fridge and microwave in the room. Standard quality for a Motel 6. I called the afternoon of my evening arrival to confirm the price of a room. I also asked if I needed to make a reservation and he said "no there are plenty of rooms". When I arrived it turns out that the price was the confirmed price for a room with a single bed but that they no longer had any single beds and so I needed to pay additional to what I was quoted, for a room with 2 full beds. Wish I had reserved it. When I turned on the light in the morning I saw a bug scurry under the covers on the bed. Later in the morning I saw another bug crawling on the light. Don't know what type, didn't look at it closely but creeped me out...made me wonder if there were only 2 bugs total or the same bug I saw in two places or if there were other bugs that I didn't see but had been crawling in our bed throughout the night! There was no shelf in the bathroom so no place to put things while showering. The coffee in the morning tasted nasty "like last night's coffee" my husband remarked.

I was happy that I was able to check in early. The inside of the room was a lot better than the outside. Motel didn't have the feel of being a Motel 6. Everything in the room was pretty new. Clean. Bed was comfortable. Wifi signal was strong. There was no breakfast provided but a Burger King was just passed a car wash to the south.
