Residence Inn by Marriott Chattanooga Downtown

Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a full kitchen, and big screen TV. Staff at the front desk, maintenance, breakfast attendants, and housekeeping were all pleasant and helpful. The lobby was large with many places to sit, which was helpful because we were part of a large group attending a wedding. The hotel is in a good location, easy walk to many restaurants and the aquarium. The breakfast was average. The hotel itself is shabby. The carpets are worn in the rooms and common areas. The furniture is chipped and scratched. In our room the refrigerator was old and noisy when the cooling cycle started. Others in our party had similar type problems. I was told the maintenance staff was very attentive. There is only one elevator. There were times when the wait was several minutes.

Great location, nice rooms and wonderful staff! There is an indoor pool. It’s small. They have laundry facilities on each floor (coin machines). Everything clean. Breakfast had plenty choices. The staff were all cheery and helpful. We’ll be back!

Service Desk was friendly, room was clean but, it was a memorial day weekend and the breakfast was not only taken up early but, after breakfast no beverage are free...no coffee, juice or anything. If you want coffee, you must get it at Breakfast or drinking the terrible stuff in the room. Also, all the breakfast meat the first morning was gone two hours before breakfast was over. Our room was not serviced, we had to call in for replacement towels. The room was a little crowded because of design. There is a computer desk blocking a outside sitting area. The other option is to go downstairs outside to a smoking area. Since it was a holiday, the elevator was unusually slow responding. There was long waiting time. We walked all day and then had to take the stairs part-time.They only have 3 luggage carts and for a holiday weekend and a lot of children and luggage, this was not handy. Over all, it was clean and they were mostly all friendly but, it was crowd....the only other thing...$40 for parking for two nights is expensive. The last time we stayed at Courtyard, we were reimbursed for our parking, not charged.

This hotel is in a good location. The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful. It is a bit tired inside and needs updating. The suite worked out well for 3 adults. I would stay there again. My only complaint was at breakfast they ran out of waffle batter and it was not refilled.

I booked this hotel for my 21 year old son and his friend. They were on a two week camping and caving adventure and needed a hotel for a night. Theo at the front desk was a “chiller” and went out of his way to get a charger for my son. The guys really enjoyed the breakfast and the room was clean and comfortable.
