Hampton Inn Chattanooga Hixson

Arrived to a normal Hampton Inn exterior with complementary parking. The lobby and breakfast area was functional. Room was ready and check in was efficient and personable. Smaller double queen room and bathroom- monochrome decor, reasonable furniture and average lighting and outlets. One piece of art in the room, microwave, refer and forgettable in room coffee. No safe.Complementary internet, small exercise room and small outdoor pool. Medium size flatscreen tv with limited channels, older HVAC, good bed, linens and pillows.One piece of art in bathroom in place of towel racks. Strange situation with no toilet paper holder, just rolls sitting on a shelf. Good enough towels and toiletries. Complementary breakfast was the usual Hampton fare of average quality and variety: egg product, meat, waffles, pastry and bread, fruit, juice and coffee/tea. This house struck me as a baseline Hampton Inn and at an all in price of $157 per night about as expected these days.

The hotel was your standard Hampton Inn. I will say that it was one of the best showers I have ever had at a hotel. The rooms/bathrooms seemed to be updated. There is a full hot breakfast buffet in the lobby. Easy access to everything in Chattanooga and surrounding areas. Not directly on the main road, which is nice for noise purposes.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clwean, and the breakfast was very good. The price was slightly steep for a Sunday night, but one of the cheaper hotels in the area.

I have stayed here in the past. I was disappointed in my stay on 3/15/23. For $151.25 you would expect things to work properly. The air conditioner was ice cold and sounded like a jet plane taking off each time it kicked on. I finally just turned it off about 2am. Then in the morning I went into the bathroom to shower and the light over the mirror glowed a wierd red orange. When I went to the desk and told the lady about it she was uninterested and said she would tell maintenance. I checked out and changed hotels. I have family in the area but I do not think I will return to this hotel. Not worth the money.

Read the website carefully and click on every link you can find re: price for your animal to stay with you. Not free, just friendly. When confronted about this - evening staff was rude. Never been treated like that as a Diamond member. Not "I am sorry that you didn't see that on the website, just argued with me about that it was there, expected me to pay!" Otherwise, nice location, comfortable beds. Breakfast needs more to go options - nutrigrain bars yogurt, etc.
