Days Inn by Wyndham Sioux Falls Airport

Driving conditions were sketchy and I needed to get off the road. Unplanned and not expecting much, I got a room just off of I-90 in Sioux Falls. What I received was a friendly, welcoming check in, a spotless, quiet room and fluffy towels. What more does one need?

I was very skeptical about staying upon pulling into the parking lot. It just doesn't look very good. Once inside, I was greeted by the nice woman at the check in counter, which was fast and efficient. Our room was clean, although it is under remodel, baseboards were loose all around the floor, the sink faucet was hard to turn on and one of the light fixtures was broke. Cable TV would not work, we could not get connected even after having them come check it for us. Fridge is cold, air unit is an older wall one, works well. Beds were clean. If your looking for a one night place to get some rest - this will work. Just be prepared for "remodel"

The worst hotel experience..There were no hotel rooms available within the entire city due to several events happening on the same day. Honestly we should’ve just slept in our car. The strong chemicals and fragrance within the building is nauseating. It is filthy. Several areas of damage unattended or repaired. Dangerous trip hazards for all ages. Carpeting is stained and filthy. Stairwell and hallways are stained and garbage throughout motel. First room had horrible smell, requested a different room, it also had foul odor masked with strong chemical air fresheners that will make your eyes water. Furniture stained and filthy, towels stained, washrags stained, bedding stained. I pulled back the sheets to discover dirty sheets with hair and blood on the sheets, pillowcases with other peoples hair on them. I requested that our sheets be changed immediately. A man unable to speak English came to my daughter and my room with an arm full of waded up bedding under his armpit and against his chest. I attempted to retrieve the sheets from him so that I could change my bedding but in broken English he insisted that he had to change them and came into the room. He tossed the “clean” sheets on the filthy chair, then started to remove the bedding after I pointed out all of the stains. He just nodded and removed the dirty sheets and set them on our personal items. I asked him to leave the room and insisted that I would make the bed but he refused, and took the sheets from my hand to make the bed. Upon leaving and requesting a receipt, they more than tripled the rate without warning and said that’s just the way it was because of every hotel being booked. Was quoted $68 but charged $250! Don’t stay at this hotel, just drive past!

Very clean hotel. Nice people (staff). Breakfast is ok at best. Close to many spots in the area. The room was spotless and was the mattress was adequate enough to sleep, which was all that was needed (business trip). Booked for 2 nights, and stayed a 3rd night instead of going closer to my next destination. Would definitely stay again.

Run, don’t walk!! This motel is worse than terrible. Unfriendly desk clerk, sign says newly remodeled, I don’t know who there contractor was but he did a terrible job. Noisy area, trucks all night long. Vagrants hanging outside entrance. Don’t stop here.
