Governor's Inn a Travelodge by Wyndham

I would never stay there again. Very disappointed in the management, room, disgusting pool, etc. The room was very filthy. No idea the last time the top comforter had been cleaned. The pool was not working and by the color of the water it looked like it had not been working for a long time.

Was in town for the Governor's Inauguration. This is the hotel the state put me up in. The good: The room was pretty clean. The bad: They signed me up for a Wyndham Rewards account without asking. The front desk clerk couldn't type my name properly from my Drivers License. I don't want that account and tried to close it. Can't do it with the Reward Member number, Need the name on the account. Since he can't spell, they can't verify it and can't close it. Asked for a call back from Wyndham supervisor 36 hours ago and no call. Emailed Governors Inn at the same time asking for a call from the owners or manager, still no response. Breakfast - Sausage wasn't browned, just kinda rubbery from being microwaved. Staff maintaining breakfast area were wearing their pajamas really didn't look like self hygiene was their strong point. Common areas are really tired. Hallway carpet was dirty and desperately needed replacing. Honestly, this has kinda been my goto when in Pierre, but no more!

Management was awful. I was there for a funeral in town. The key reader on my door malfunctioned after I went down for breakfast. I had to wait almost 2 hrs before I got back in my room. It was evident the door had prior issues. I finally called the police to come help me. Management did not seem concerned about the urgency due to my aunt's funeral I needed to get to. The door lock had prior issues, it should have been replaced at that time.

Room was not really clean. Bathroom had much to be desired. Pool and hot tub were out of order due to maintenance although I saw no "maintenance" -- just toys in the pool and shallow water in the hot tub. There was a towel which had written on it "pool" in our bathroom. A very shabby motel all around.

The pictures of hot tub and pool and cost of under $100 for the night for a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teen boys) 2 queen beds and assuming a cot. We get there and the tolet wont stop running and kids rock paper sissors to see who was sleeping on the floor as a "cot wont fit in room" how do 5 sleep in 2 beds? (Checked price for 4... 20 bucks less for same room) Hot tub was a merky green color and out of order, pool had a layer of slime on bottom of pool and dead insects all around. Shower was hot. However, only given 3 towle sets and no one was to be found for more. Pool and showers fam of 5 -3 towels. Toilet is still running, opened tank to find black mold and 2 bricks in tank. I unstick the float and tank filled and stopped running. Wonder where to submit my pluming bill??? I cant imigion breakfast to be anything special to change my review... I would suggest skipping this one and pay a little more somewhere else.
