Super 8 by Wyndham Brookings

Reception was friendly. Offering online pre-checkin was convenient. My king bed had super soft pillows and a comfortable recliner; it was kinda small, but I still could navigate my wheelchair; the hot tub was heavenly after driving; room was clean; and hot pancakes for breakfast!

Great little hotel! The staff here was friendly and kind and the lobby was clean and inviting. Our room was clean and spacious and the shower was hot with strong pressure, pleanty of towels and good soaps and shampoo. They had a pool here and it was clean and warm so we took a swim. Breakfast km the morning was more than I expected with eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal and juice and milk. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I will certainly be back next time I am in Brookings, S. Dakota!

The breakfast was very good. It was so nice not to eat on paper plates and cups. Food was fresh. Area was very clean, as were the rooms.

We stayed here this week. Our room was nice and clean. While clean, our room was dated. Things weren’t as updated as you’d expect to see in a newer property. Breakfast was good. They had eggs, sausage, cereals, yogurt and the other usual suspects.

Nice staff but the hotel and maintenance is from the 70's. Broken items, rusted and flaking metal on door frames and sprinkler, broken faucet caulking and drain. TV antenna looses signal ever few seconds and went out entirely during a storm for about 3 hours. Bed so high I had to crawl on hands and knees to get on it. No elevator. The high rating on Google is over the life of the hotel. Has not aged well and reviews reflect the 2 start recent rating on Trip Advisor. Shame - wouldn't take much to improve with a little care and updating.
