Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aberdeen an IHG Hotel

Very Nice Hotel. Want to comment about Lisa at the Front Desk and how nice she was and how helpful she was. When checking in with her at the front desk, I immediately realized that our Hotel Experience on 06/19/24 was going to be a positive experience....and it was! Thank You, Lisa! My grandson loved the Pool Area and the Water Slide too!

We usually stay at Holidays because of the consistent high quality stay they provide. Aberdeen is a miss, a big miss. Stay elsewhere. While the water slide was an enjoyable experience for the kids, the place stunk terribly. And NOT like chlorine. Son found an unidentifiable green glob on the stairs. Our AC unit thumped every time turned on, keeping most up all night. The mirror in the bathroom was broken, fire suppression system outlet rusted, grout cracking, doors warped, etc. She needs a facelift! The staff were great. Zero criticism there. They are working hard with what they got.

Easy check in around 8 pm. Helpful fellow at the front desk. Dinner recommendations, which I requested were appreciated. Upgraded to a King. Comfortable room and cozy bed. Coffee maker helpful. Shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. Nice breakfast. I enjoyed the cheese omelet, sausage, and bacon. Coffee a bit weak for my liking, but drinkable. Easy access to the road to Sioux City.

Pool and exercise room have a mold problem. Visible black mold and the smell is overwhelming in the pool area. The rest of the hotel is fine but question health concerns staying here. Our kids used to enjoy the pool but there are better options in the area now.

Stayed here with my family for the awesome pools and waterslide. What a disappointment. We first stepped in the pool area and it smelt terribly musty and could barely stand it. But with two little kids who are dying to jump in the water, we stuck it out. There was mood all over the walls in the pool area. The entire pool area was filthy. The slide was all rusted out. And then there was the water…you couldn’t even see to the bottom in 4 feet of water. Can’t believe no one has gotten seriously sick from this place, hopefully we won’t. The room was nice and clean. Remote was missing the back and there was supposed to be a microwave but there wasn’t. The lady doing the continental breakfast did an awesome job, that was good and clean. Just couldn’t believe how big of a dump the pool area was. To top it off, i just looked at my credit card and was charged $70 more than my confirmation email said. I would definitely not stay again.
