Days Inn by Wyndham St George

This hotel room was very overpriced for the condition of the room. The deodorizer used in the room was overwhelming. Skynards restaurant next door was very convenient and the food was ok. Staff was helpful and friendly. Pillows were very lumpy and there was no coffee pot in the room.

This motel is kept nice. The rooms are just fairly clean. I do like the park at the door motels like this one. The breakfast is disappointing. Very few choices Waffles muffins coffee juice is all there is. The staff is friendly and helpful. next time will try one of the other places at this exit.

Far far from perfect. We were traveling with a dog. They charge a $30 pet fee which is ok. However the room they give you should not smell like a kennel. Our room smelled like wet dog, had a box spring that was ripped and shred to pieces with the liner and stuffing just laying on the floor, had a front door with so many scratches in it from the last inmate that it resembled a lid to a crypt where something was buried alive and was trying to escape the tomb,, and the bathroom ceiling looked like a mushroom farm. The location is convenient to 95, so close we could hear every northbound 18 wheeler going by.; trying to sleep was a challenge. The Breakfast they served was comical. I think there were three things available. Waffles, cereal, coffee . We would advise that if you are traveling with a pet check the room out thoroughly before accepting. We should have asked for another room; one that was on the OPPOSITE side of this Days Inn opposite from the highway and one where the Tasmanian devil had not stayed the night before.

Pros: inexpensive motel right off the highway. Good restaurants within walking distance. Spacious room & bathroom with accessories for persons with physical disabilities. Mini fridge & big tv. Seems to be dog friendly Cons: entire place smells like weed & cigarettes. Very outdated motel. If you have an upstairs room, there is no elevator. All rooms are entered from outside only..good if weather is good. “Breakfast” was packaged muffins, juice, coffee from a machine, waffles, fruit loop cereal. We had an accessible room, yet if we had needed it, the ramp for a wheelchair is far from the room. Did I mention the smell?

We had not expected to make this stop but a car issue made it inevitable. I was anxious at first since it’s a bit rough around the edges but we had no choice. This book should not be judged by its cover. The staff was great, the parking lot and walkways to rooms are well lit, the room was recently updated and clean. Don’t have super high expectations for $65/might, but we were pleasantly surprised and felt safe resting after a stressful situation.
