Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Santee

Ms. Roz does a excellent job preparing the breakfast!! She keeps the tables and floors clean no matter how busy or crowded it gets. The rooms are always clean and the beds are nice comfortable. Checkout was easy with the front desk this morning. No problems at all.

Fairfield Inn & Suites in Santee, SC is well deserving of its 2024 Travelers Choice award and 5 star Excellent rating. Parking is plentiful and well lit, walk-in showers have good water pressure, and they have the most professional attentive front desk staff. We have stayed here at least 10 times, we would not consider another property.

This is the second straight year we stayed here as the first nights stop traveling north from Southeast Florida. The location is excellent with easy access to I-95. Gas stations and restaurants are nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious with a good bed and good shower. The breakfast is a step above standard Fairfield Inn breakfasts. Will definitely stay here our next rip north

From the clean rooms to the good breakfast, this is a nice hotel. (And pet friendly, too!) Even though they were at capacity the night we stayed, the staff couldn't have been friendlier. This hotel is definitely on the calendar for our next trip down south.

There is really not much to do during the evenings in Santee, SC, a small rural town off of Interstate 95. Nevertheless, it is a natural stopping point for coastal travelers coming to and from Florida. Normally, the challenge during such stops is to find a clean, comfortable hotel for the night and somewhere decent to eat. Fortunately, Fairfield Inn & Suites hits all the right marks on the first point. It is an exceptionally well-maintained hotel with very clean, well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, great showers and excellent lighting. The receptionists and all service employees are professional and most helpful. I honestly could not find fault with any part of my two separate stays at Fairfield Inn & Suites over the past year and I would highly recommend this hotel without hesitation to all travelers. With respect to the second point, there are only a handful of food establishments in Santee, and I have eaten dinner at only two restaurants during my stays. Clarks Inn & Restaurant is a comfortable establishment serving southern-style cooking with good portions at fairly reasonable prices. We enjoyed our dinner there after a long drive from Northern VA. On our return trip from Florida, we ordered late carry-out dinners from Armando’s Mexican Restaurant, a small, unassuming establishment close to the hotel and it was surprisingly satisfying with a modest price tag, so probably good for families. Although we haven’t visited Captain’s Quarters, it is apparently a popular restaurant for seafood so I may give it a try during my trip.
