Red Roof Inn North Charleston Coliseum

When I stayed at the red roof in North Charleston the Front desk lady Dasha was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel safe. Don’t mind some reviews I had a great experience. My room was very clean. It was really quiet no disturbance at all.

Awful! The room smelled of smoke and the outdoor areas stank. The noise from other guests made it difficult to sleep as radios were blasting rap music and people were yelling. Did not feel safe and wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here. Worst motel ever.

We had reserved this room as an overnight stay on the way to Florida. We thought it would be nice to stop in Charleston. I will admit we did not stay the night. We didn't stay because the room not only smelled like cigarettes but was crawling with bugs. Yes visibly crawling with insects. I don't know what they were some looked like palmettos but not something we were willing to risk. To managements credit they refunded us the room.

The room smelled.like cigarettes.. even the pillows, sheets, and one corner of the room.. asked for the bedding to get cleaned and they just moved us to another room next to men who were already drinking at 9 in the morning. Should have known it was gonna be bad, didn't get any sleep that night, they were very loud and beyond drunk at that point. Dropped the key card off the next morning and the person behind the desk didn't even look at me. Not worth it, anywhere would have probably been better place to stay!!!

The hotel won't be happy I share this info but it's US versus THEM right in this crazy world n we have to watch our money or we won't have any. Big Hint!! Do not understand any circumstances walk in and request a room, unless u have plenty of cash. Always make reservations online n check Google or ur favorite savings site for best prices. I walked in after work to check in at 9pm n she said it would be $150 which is typical of these hotels taking advantage of the tourists. The rate online was $60. The room was clean n did not experience any issues and security was making rounds and was polite. I will go again n as of now n for the summer 2 stays at different times gets you a free stay with their rewards program. So sign up for it before u get Reservations. Good luck n SAVE!!
