Rodeway Inn Greenville

I book a reservation on 05/11/2023. I initially plan on staying a week. The room I stay in was OK. but it did not have a microwave or a refrigerator. The bathroom was dirty. The next day I wanted to take a shower but guess what? no Soap! after 3 phone calls down stair someone said they was bringing me soap. I never got it. They said there is no soap. So, I checked out. Later I was billed 182 Dollars early check out fee. Never again.

This hotel is convenient if you want to go to the casino but otherwise there was not much nearby. Check in was ok and staff was friendly. The room was not the cleanest but the bed was comfortable. The main issue we had was with the brown water. There was a sign that said that the cypress roots around made the water brown but it was safe! The drain in the bathtub/shower was plugged and when showering we ended up standing in several inches of brown water, ick! And it was not appetizing to drink and there was no bottled water to purchase in the hotel! I would recommend the hotel put 2-4 bottles of complimentary bottled water in each room!

Absolutely the worst place I've ever stayed. Dirty doesn't do it justice. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt. The staff were friendly but the first day we arrived the elevators didn't work and didn't work all week. They put us on the 2nd floor in the middle of the hotel Had to walk to the end and go down stairs and walk half way to the other end to the desk and breakfast area. Which I can't describe it was so bad. The shower couldn't be turned off except by the faucet. Had to hold handle down on toilet to flush it. The carpet in the room had burn marks where someone set the iron on the floor and it had ripples and bumps in it. Had no microwave and the fridge didn't get cold Put water in the freezer part and 2 days later it still wasn't frozen. T.v. remote didn't work. They gave me another and it didn't work either. Bed was comfortable. The only good thing I can say about this place. We were told upon arrival that they couldn't put us on the 1st floor cause they were sold out. I have been here almost a week and haven't seen more than a half dozen cars in the parking lot. I'm not saying this was a racist thing but we had a African American friend join us and they put her on the first floor. Although she said her room was about the same. She asked the desk people why they couldn't put us on the 1st floor and they said it was because a lot of their rooms were not stayable. Once again it's the worst place I've ever stayed. If I could give it a minus. I would. Don't stay here go somewhere else. Before you ask we weren't allowed to change hotel's cause if we were we would have.If we are ever back in Greenville ms. We definitely won't be staying at the Rodeway inn and I would advise you not to either.

I have stayed here for several years before the marathon. This place is very close to the finish and this year to the packet pickup. The people are very nice and take care of your needs well. This place is not new. It could use a little update, but if you realize that you will be happy.
