Hampton Inn & Suites Greenville Spartanburg I 85 SC

This place is right off I-85 only 15 or 20 mins from the GSP airport and only 15 minutes to Inman where my work stop was. Unfortunately the parking was very crowded during my stay. The couple front desk people I spoke to were very helpful including Skylar (?). The dining are is well maintained and the breakfast buffet very good and typical for a Hampton.

Great location, clean rooms, and friendly staff. I went to breakfast on Monday when John was working. I noticed that he was not wearing gloves when he put breakfast out. He has sores on his hands which makes wearing gloves even more important. We ended up not eating breakfast at the hotel. We will definitely be back because the location is great and the staff is super friendly

My wife is a HHonors Diamond member, and while the front desk agent was initially polite, her attitude changed when we requested a room change. She had assigned us a room on Floor 2, which was actually at ground level and directly in front of the parking lot. When I opened the curtain, I found a car parked less than 10 feet away, with its headlights shining directly into the room. When we returned to the front desk to request a room change, she initially claimed that no rooms were available because the remaining rooms had already been assigned to arriving guests for the night. We mentioned my Diamond membership and the expectation of a room upgrade as part of the benefits. She responded that she could not change or upgrade because our rate was “VERY CHEAP.” This statement was incorrect, as our reservation was made using Points & Money, which applies the highest non-discounted rate. As I pointed this out, she then stated that accommodating our request would result in another guest being assigned the room we wanted to avoid. Wow! Ultimately, she did change our room but with an unsatisfactory attitude. Her handling of the situation indicates a lack of understanding regarding HHonors membership benefits. Additional training is needed to ensure a consistent and professional experience for loyal members.

We checked in early. Skyler, the front desk agent, was reading a book when we checked in. It took her a minute to acknowledge us because she was engrossed in her book. She got an attitude with us when we said excuse me can we check in. The location was great. The rooms were great and the breakfast was wonderful. Will definitely be back.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, lighting is mid-range in the parking lot for safety. Location is great for access from I85 and hotel appears to be well maintained. There is a gas station across the frontage road from the hotel, very convenient The hotel’s entrance is tricky when coming from I85 Northbound, because you have to do a 100 meter sprint across traffic to get to the turn lane. Also, morning walks are dangerous because of no sidewalk on the front road into the hotel.
