Graduate by Hilton Columbia SC

We stayed at the graduate by Hilton at the end of our vacation prior to catching an early morning flight. Overall we were very impressed with the hotel, it’s custom decor, the comfortable beds and it’s cleanliness. Check in: Check in was very smooth and quick. There were no issues or complications and the hotel staff were courteous and kind. Location: Located in downtown Columbia it was only a few minutes drive to everything you’d possibly need. Additionally there are some beautiful sights to see in the local area on a nice walk. The room: The room was clean, very tidy and organized. The unique cock designs in the bedrooms make it a charming and standout experience. The sound proofing is top notch and we didn’t hear a thing, despite an early bedtime The bed: The king size bed was comfortable and clean with a variety of pillow firmnesses to match up with your own sleeping preference. Parking: Parking was included in the hotel cost and you could avail of the parking garage or parking lot for free. Checkout: Checkout was equally as good as the check in. Using the Hilton app we had a quick and prompt checkout with limited interaction. Overall: During o ur week in South Carolina this hotel stood out as our favourite amongst 4 others. Would highly recommend

Stayed here for a weekend sorority event. Great location but rooms need a refresh. Very tired looking, furniture & bathroom bit dirty & worn down. Staff friendly & we love that it’s a pet friendly hotel. Charming place, hope they can keep it that way!

Traveled with family. This was the first time I stayed at a graduate. The bar was perfect as we needed to celebrate the life of a lost one before a funeral and that gave us the time to do so. The major issue we had was there was not hot water to the room. Maintenance came and tried to change the shower valve but the sink had no hot water as well. I told them to leave. Also entering the shower with the bathroom door and toilet is a bit tricky. There is not a lot of room to navigate into the shower. I do detest the community shampoo and body wash dispensers but that seems to be the future.

Spent three nights at this place this last November. It has a southern sorority house/dormitory vibe to it. Lot of pink in the rooms. Checkin was a bit slow. Was pleased to find out that Graduates had moved to the Hilton family of hotels. Elevators were also slow. Was upgraded to a junior suite, however the room was a bit cramped and I risked running into the coffee table in the living space every time I went to the bathroom. The bedroom was small as you could not open the door to the closet all the way without running into the bed. Rooms are a tad dark for my liking. The bed is great and the room is quiet though. Parking is fairly easy whether its in the garage across the parking lot or the parking lot itself. Hard to really knock Graduate hotels as I am a big fan. The big chickens over the bed were maybe over the top.

The staff at Graduate are wonderful! The rooms are nice and clean. I’m going to focus this review on their restaurant/bar. It’s called the Trophy Room. The food is good. We love the smash burgers. The chicken sandwich is ok. The new appetizer is tots with sour cream and guacamole and cheese. It’s so filling! We miss some of the items that were removed with Hilton took over (ex cheese fries, chicken strips). The bartenders are great! Adam and Ryan are great! There are 2 ladies whose name I sadly cannot remember. I wanted something different and they made it! Really professionals. We as always enjoy our stay and will return!!!!
