The front desk staff was below average, varied from inattentive to surly - surprisingly indifferent to hotel guests' needs and concerns. E.g., only one of two elevators was working during our stay and the front desk staff was didn't seem to understand the urgency of getting the elevator fixed. The hotel is very "modern" in a minimalist way. Concrete lobby floors, blank walls and faux hardwood floors in the hotel rooms. Kind of cold, but yet not clean feeling. The common spaces, especially the outdoor gathering space was inviting. Parking is lot is across the street and halfway down the block. It is labeled "Hyatt". The elevator in the garage did not work. When I mentioned the broken elevator to the front desk, they said "that's the city's problem. we don't own the garage." The may not own it, but they charged me $18/day to park there - the quoted rate at check-in was $15. I was told they were going to refund the parking charge, but they did not. I've tried calling the hotel, but no one answered. There is no email address.

This hotel is very cute. The lobby is fun, cozy & inviting. There’s a bar, a fireplace, a pool table & cozy couches. The staff was pleasant. The rooms were nice. Bed comfortable BUT the noise factor - a big problem. If you are a light sleeper you will hear everything. I heard people laughing & talking loud. Doors were slammed at all hours of the night. I heard a vacuum at 3am & people arguing. The other members of my family slept right through this, but again, I am a light sleeper & could not sleep. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and teenage son. The staff was super friendly - everyone you encountered said "hello" or "welcome back". Cookie the bartender is a gem! We appreciated the games in the lobby and the many different places to sit, work, or hang out. The garage next door was very convenient, although you can walk to a lot of restaurants. The downside was the actual room. There were surfaces to lay suitcases on, but not a dresser. The shower/toilet room had a translucent window that connected to the sleeping area, and the light in there was also the light for the sink area. This means that in the middle of the night when someone went to the bathroom, lots of lights went on and lit up the sleeping area. Why?! The sink was positioned in a way that lots of water fell behind it on the counter. We had to unplug our fridge because it was so loud. The pillows provided no support. It just was not a comfortable room.

We needed a hotel that accommodates pets. The staff was terrific, welcoming and made the stay for us and our Labrador retriever a wonderful experience. They were tops! The location was convenient to restaurants, bars and the theater that we attended.

The hotel is fine however the outside noise is really loud at night. This is the second time I have stayed and will not go back. The trash collection and street cleaners are very loud and the seems to be little effort in the construction of the building to help the situation. Also beware of the travel service fees and taxes. For one night for a single room they were $165.00. Almost the price of the room.
