Creekside Lands Inn

The second floor of two offers a view of a small creek about 50 yards way so Creek Vicinity better description. Not a romantic venue as in the name. The room is very clean, a bit roomy and functional with fridge etc. The location is near tons of food and markets and 1/2 hour plus to beaches. In contrast Mt Pleasant is 15 mins to Charleston or Isle of Palms beach and ample food options too. In the double, one bed sloped down and left so unusable. The breakfast is pathetic, cold mushy fake eggs with sausage bites and a waffle maker. The price point is not great but perhaps competitive. Fully booked so a popular choice, but not as idyllic as the name.

We visited Charleston in the afternoon and decided to stay outside the town prior continuons the next day southwards. The Inn offers all what you need for spending a good night in a qualitiy bed. The room was clean and large. Fortunately, we didn’t use the airconditioning which makes a terrible noise. But all other points including the breakfast was more than ok.

The motel is at Highway 17 which is rather busy, but the rooms are quiet. However, the motel points to a nearby creek which gives a lovely sight out of the room. There are warning signs about snakes and alligators, but we did not see any. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, moderately spacious, with a good bed. Microwave, shower, A/C, fridge, toilet, everything was fine and clean. The room was quiet, but in front of each room, there is a bright lamp directly in front of the window of each room. There are shades on the window, but they cannot fully keep the light out. Thus, it is rather bright inside the room. This led me to give four instead of five stars. The breakfast was fine and functional, waffles, scrambled eggs, toast, yoghurt, fruit salad etc. Nothing exceptional, but fully sufficient. For this price, it was all very reasonable. Grocery stores, restaurants, fast food etc. are all nearby.

DUMP!!! Look elsewhere for a cleaner and more quiet stay. Me and my wife and son stayed here for 1 night. ther room smelled musty and the place was dirty and not well kept. We had the worst breakfast of any hotel we have ever stayed. When we went for the "FREE" continental brakfast, the lobby and breakfast area AC was not working. I sat there abd sweated like crazy from the heat. The breakfast was a free joke. No protien, and the offerings were minimal. The place looks good in the pictrures, and I guess its OK for a quick stay, but dont make more than a night of it.
