We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn during our recent trip to Providence and while the hotel does show signs of wear and tear that's to be expected at older properties. Our suite was large, the bathroom was even bigger, and the bed was comfortable; we loved having both a mini-fridge and microwave for added convenience. The location was fantastic, the valet parking was a breeze and you can never go wrong with free breakfast! What really stood out to me was the complimentary shuttle, though. The driver (Jen) was informative, prompt and funny to boot. We would return just to take another spin with her and we will definitely stay here again if we visit Providence in the future!

I'm used to Hampton Inns having parking and I think the apps one books a hotel with can be pretty confusing on that point. I was told there was self parking in the back lot and I could pay in the morning, but that conflicted with info given by the lot when we had called them earlier. Some of the lots nearby don't do overnight or only do weekends, and it was frustrating. We opted for the valet for simplicity and safety. Cali did a good job with my car as did the guy in the morning. The staff was pretty good. We stayed in 4 different hotels on a week long road trip and I rate this as the second best hotel, with far and away the best breakfast, and one of the better breakfasts I've had in most hotels. There were some good little touches. For example, this was the only hotel I've ever seen with one of those little soothing sound makers to block out other people. I don't recall seeing the gym. The door situation was a little awkward. I liked the layout of the place as it was a historical building, which was a bank, then a church. Wife felt it was a tad cramped. We both liked the room. I liked the neighborhood. There's a really good pizza restaurant right across from the building, where you can also get a drink. Liked the coffee/tea in the lobby. The staff was helpful with our bags. A close walk to a lot of stuff.

I usually stay in boutique hotels during my Providence trips, but I decided to give this property a try. While my room had the wear-and-tear signs of a high-volume hotel in a slightly older building, the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. If youâre a light sleeper, bring earplugs because the HVAC unit is a bit noisy. Also, be prepared for other âquirksâ of an older building (e.g., I had to hold the toilet handle a few seconds for the toilet to actually flush). The front-desk staff were friendly, and the breakfastâwhile not the tastiest Iâve ever hadâwas definitely convenient. Also convenient was the downtown location. Overall, this is a practical option if/when priced competitively. Nothing fancy, but again, practical.

Donât sleep anywhere else. This place is a very cool old building with rich history. The little details are incredible. To the staffâŚ.. Manny, Kali, Bryan and DarlinâŚ. You ARE the Hilton standard. You are above and beyond, and I couldnât be more grateful. Flawless check in. Valet isnât cheap but itâs the safest way to park your car and you have in/out privileges (you wonât get that in the parking lot next to the hotel). Excellent location. Walkable to plenty, Ubers are a great choice in this cold! I would definitely come back.

I stayed here for two nights with my elderly mother, and I could not have hoped for a better experience. The staff were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. (A special shout out to Jenn, the engineer, Mr. Bob and the man who helps keep the daily breakfast stocked - thank you!). There was even a complimentary shuttle bus that would take us anywhere within a two mile radius, which we used several times. The location central too. Be advised valet parking was an additional $34/night, but the free shuttle bus more offset this expense at least two-fold for us.
