Even before we arrived the staff worked hard to ensure we were comfortable. Almost everyone greeted us by name and did everything they could to accomodate us, contacting us before we arrived with excursion options, then ensuring that we could order room service before we arrived since we arrived after the kitchen closed. We ran the Newport Marathon while staying at the Vanderbilt and the staff stocked up on Gatorade and bananas for after the race. Overall an incredibly pampering experience!

High end luxury property in the heart of Newport. Walking distance to historic Newport and an easy walk to the Cliff Walk & Mansions. Staff at the property is the true star - everyone works hard to make for an impeccable stay and is warm, friendly, and yet creates a luxury experience.

Loved everything about The Vanderbilt and cannot wait to return soon!! We loved Newport in part because of our stay at The Vanderbilt. Aesthetically The Vanderbilt is perfect with gorgeous saturated colors and modern yet a feel of history. The little nooks and crannies around the property were fun to explore, in fact suggested. Great bar and restaurant we enjoyed very much. The location was perfect and walkable to most Newport highlights.

My wife and I travelled back to Newport in March and stayed at The Vanderbilt for the first time. We were blown away as soon as we pulled into the driveway. The hotel is beautiful and historic, the staff and concierge are very friendly and accommodating (above and beyond, really), the amenities are plentiful, and the food and drinks at the hotel are top notch. From our incredible room, to breakfast in the Conservatory, drinks in the Library and Dining Room, billiards in the Reserve Room, swimming in the indoor pool, and taking advantage of the gym and sauna, we truly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The Vanderbilt is unlike most any other hotel we have ever stayed in and I could not recommend it enough.

The staff was fantastic at every turn. Before our arrival, Morgan, the lead concierge, made us feel welcome and like old friends. That continued with our valet, Saeed, at our arrival. Everyone was friendly and helpful, without ever becoming intrusive. The room and facilities were also great. But the staff truly made it a great long weekend.
