Comfort Inn & Suites Wilkes Barre Arena

After reading some of the previous reviews, we thought we would give this place a try. Thank goodness we did and did not rely on all the previous reviews. The place was very nice and clean and well presented. The employees we met at the front desk, the breakfast area and the housekeeping staff were all very nice and considerate. The manager was a real treat to talk to and have fun with. She made the place really friendly and inviting to us which is a real plus in our book. Our room was nice and clean and really a nice size. Even though you are located along a busy highway the noise was not bad at all. The breakfast area was nicely laid out. The room was quiet and you really didn't hear much from your neighbors. The bed was nice and firm and plenty of pillows. Loved the great walk-in shower! Thanks for all the employees for a great time and special kudos to the management for making the place the way it is. Would definitely return to stay again.

The bed is as hard as a rock. The pillows are tiny and give little to no support to the back & neck. Awful night's sleep. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to get a good night's sleep. The shower had very little water pressure and did not drain properly. Not worth the $$.

This hotel is in serious need of lighting throughout. We checked in on a cloudy day and the lobby was DARK. The hallways were even worse. We turned every lamp on in our room and still struggled to see. So I get it that you’re trying to save electricity but when we walked into our room, the AC was running and the thermostat was set to 61!! It was freezing. Overall, this is a nice hotel - it just needs a few upgrades.

We had a very nice stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites. The room was very quiet, the staff was friendly, and all in all we were pleased. The breakfast was simple, it was probably the only area that might benefit with increased staff attention. We would stay again when in the area.

One night stay. Location was very good. The staff were exceptional. We did not use the pool. Breakfast was typical but then we aren't big breakfast eaters. Facility was very clean. I would stay here again.
