It was OK in terms of cleanliness (bathroom floor had not been cleaned). I asked for a quiet room and was given a room at the end of the hall on the second floor. However, it was anything but quiet, which my coworkers who also stayed here confirmed. There is ZERO soundproofing whatsoever! I had to listen to my next door neighbor’s entire morning routine at 5 am. I could hear him pee and could tell by his pee pattern that he has a prostrate issue. No thank you! I feel like Marriott properties in general have become quite run down in the past few years and not sure I’m going to be a loyal customer in the future. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a positive experience at a Marriott property.

Things got off to a bad start at check-in. I had pulled up to the space right in front of the hotel, which is marked with two large signs stating that there is a limit of 10 minutes for standing there. When I checked in at the desk, the staff member explained how to drive around the building to park near my room, and then added that I could also just leave my car where it was. I was a bit disoriented after a long drive and also didn't understand how it would be OK to leave my car where it was, right in front of the entrance. I asked her (in what I believe was a friendly manner) to explain it to me again and she got extremely snippy, saying "As I have explained MULTIPLE TIMES ..." We managed to find our room (warning: There aren't many elevators ... if your room isn't near an elevator, it will be a long walk. There are several staircases though), which seemed fine. The rooms apparently all have balconies, although ours was too small for furniture (which other rooms had). The area is quite and wooded, although close to major roads. I had a really hard time regulating the temperature in our room: It was always either a little too hot or a little too cold. The bed was made with a sheet, a very grubby-looking duvet (with someone else's hair on it) and a polyester throw. I chose to take the grungy duvet off the bed. We went to the pool in the morning and had a nice swim before any other guests showed up. The pool seemed clean enough and a staff member came to do the chemicals as we were leaving: It was good to see that it's maintained well.

Paper thin walls, noisy fridge.. it's like the neighbors are inside your room. It may just be the materials used by the walls that make the rooms so resonant, so there may only be so much the hotel can do. The place is also a bit of a maze in terms of getting to your room from the parking lot. Definitely won't look at staying here again.

Stayed here 3 nights and would have needed a wheelchair if I had stayed one more night. Mattress is the softest I have ever had in a hotel and wrecked my back. Front desk said they were replaced not so long ago but I don't believe it. Asked for a backboard-none available! What's worse, the front desk receptionist really didn't care.

Matthew helped my stay to be better as I hadn’t been very pleased with my stay before that, you all should give him a raise, he went above and beyond to help my morning on checking out to be great. He helped the hotel to feel less corporate and more like a family owned hotel.
