Kiteville Lancaster

Been staying at this hotel for years. A bit dated but still was decent until this year. Rooms were a dirty mess and the bathroom was terrible. Left over food in refrigerator broken door. Probable time to look at other hotels in area. It is a shame but even after asking to have room cleaned they only did the bathroom. By by Historic Strasburg Inn!

I have never written a review and don't plan on making it a habit...but this place is the pits. All the reviews you read about the state of the rooms are CORRECT. It is time to tear this place down and start again. Find somewhere else...anywhere else.

One of the crappier places I’ve stayed recently. The first room we were given had not been cleaned and had the bed unmade, and old towels left in it. It was also up a set of metal stairs, which had no lighting on them. Luckily we came in during the day. So it was okay walking up and down. I would not have walked in or out of that room after dark. The second room was clean in terms of having been cleaned since the last guest. The carpet was old and needed shampooing or replacing badly. Minimally, every once in a while, take the vacuum hose and get into the crevices along the wall. I could see some obvious bits of dirt in there. One set of curtains had the rod to adjust them broken off, so they couldn’t be closed any further than where they had been left by I suppose whoever broke them. When they said pillow top bed, what they meant was an old rock hard mattress with a pillow topper on it, like you would buy at home if you couldn’t quite afford a new mattress yet. Definitely not an actual pillow top. The bathroom in our room had no obvious issues and was clean.

This motel has declined from previous reviews I think. Very musty room, very old carpet desperately needs pulling up. Fridge not plugged in so water in the bottom of it. Bathroom was new and clean. Adequate towels etc. Breakfast advertised as deluxe but def not deluxe. Two kinds of cereal, plain white bread, strange wedge potatoes, sausages, weird eggs. There were waffles. Yogurts and apples. Pool was ok and nice to sit in lounges around it.

We stayed 1 night after seeing a show at Sight & Sound. I was nervous because of some of the reviews. However, I was satisfied with the room and amenities. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The microwave and fridge were appreciated in this older, lower tier establishment. The cleaning was just ok, but what was overlooked isn’t worth mentioning. I’d stay here again if the price was better than my normal choices.
