Hampton Inn Pittsburgh Wexford Sewickley

This place isn’t horrible, though I hope for better than that when staying or going anywhere. Could tell the room was cleaned, superficially at least. Furniture in good shape, bed comfortable. There must be a shortage of towels in Wexford, they seem to be rationing them. Was in a king room but still seemed to have no space to move. Definitely on the smaller side compared to other Hilton properties. Nothing horrible though. Where they lost me is by not having a 24 hour fitness room. The guy at front desk wouldn’t open it before 6AM. If you’re going to have a limited use facility be up front and include that information on the app so I know before booking. Then there was no shampoo in dispenser. Unfortunately this doesn’t get found out until standing in the shower. I won’t ever stay here again, not horrible though. It was no surprise to find out this is not a Hilton owned property, it is owned by a franchisee. It’s clear that this particular franchisee isn’t up to the expected Hilton standards.

We’ve stayed here a number of times because it is close to relatives. This time I booked a room online, checked in and selected a room with the Hilton app. Then when we arrived, I used the same app as my key. Clean room, good breakfast and the staff provided a bucket full of snow brushes for the unexpected 5-inches of snow. Friendly and conveniently located- just off I-79 to pop into Pittsburgh and close to the Pennsy Turnpike.

We visited the area to view the PA fall foliage and the beautiful colors were worth our trip. This hotel was also worth the trip. The front desk lady was friendly and professional. The entire property was very clean without any lingering cleaning or laundry odors. Very comfortable guest room with walk-in shower. Everything was in working order. Good buffet breakfast. Easy on/off interstate and in a quiet location. We would stay here again and again.

Only 20-30 minutes from all the Stadiums downtown this is a great choice for sports fans after a game. I accidentally booked an incorrect room so I won't let that take points off the rating. Wanted 2 beds only got one and it was an accessible room. The room was clean-ish, the bathroom floor needed a good scrub it was filthy. The carpet was soaked, not sure if something happened the night before but it wasn't anything other than whatever they cleaned it with. That was a little annoying but I just kept my shoes on. Front desk was so friendly, I believe her name was Blanch. Some food in the area, but Cranberry Township is only 10 minutes up the road with more options than you would ever need. One last note keep an eye out for dog waste in the grass, it's everywhere.

I would not prebook a room at this hotel. They post significantly higher prices online and will not honor lower rates that are advertised at the hotel. When you call the 1-800 number for customer service, they are unwilling to help. I will NEVER book a room at a Hilton again.
