Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Cumberland an IHG Hotel

The breakfast is pitiful. Food runs out and is not replenished (unless requested) there was an hour left. 2 days in a row now. When I went to the kitchen to ask, the girl was on her phone and seemed very put out that I disturbed her. The pancake machine was out of batter. The gal didn't bother to replenish it...only today, my fourth day, here when somebody questioned why it was still broken she put new batter in . 9 other guests came into the breakfast room (on my second day here) walking around looking for the better food..it was finally replenished. I have photos to backup my claims. Also, when checking in, I was one hour early, there were no cars in the parking lot and the girl told me there were no rooms ready. Seems like housekeeping is running the show here....not good. I'm a regular guest that Holiday Inn Express properties. I will never come back to this one. And as long as I'm on a rant, getting extra towels was an ordeal.

After being kicked out of the Holiday Inn Express Harrisburg/Hershey down the road for having a cat (although their website said PET FRIENDLY), IHG booked us at this property and it was quite lovely. They welcomed my cat during a stressful move to another state. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. I really enjoyed the friendly staff and clean, large room. Thank you!

Nice hotel we had a safe clean stay with a nice breakfast that was included. Walking path outside for dogs. Pool for kids and gym……………………greeted when arrived must ask for a room refresher if you are staying longer and they are happy to do that just ask.

So disappointed in our recent stay at this location. We have previously stayed here several times since it was built, however the building and facilities are dated and have NOT been maintained. Rooms and building is not being cared for according to IHG standards. Room service was hit and miss and not well provided. Breakfast items were often lacking in comparison to other Holiday Inn Express locations. They allowed dogs into the breakfast area and it was unsanitary and disgusting. I do not know of another hotel that would permit pets to eat in the breakfast area. The pool was filthy with slime floating to the top of the pool-yuck! Staff was NON-responsive to our requests. I do NOT recommend this location and when returning to central Pennsylvania we will choose another IHG property.
