Hampton Inn Hanover

I stayed a this place for years during the Train Collectors Show in York. Haven't stayed here in a number of years and thought I would visit once again. My have things changed. The desk staff was not one bit welcoming when I checked in. Years ago they had either a popcorn machine or cookes for the guest in the lobby, this time nothing! The breakfast was the same old same old that Hamptons serve. I wanted to use the hot tub, but it was drained and was roped off. Also the tub/shower combo was in need of some tender loving care like caulking. It looked shabby. Needless to say the old girl is showing her age and the owner needs to kick in a few bucks for some basic renovation. The little perks like evening cookies, popcorn etc are a nice touch which seems to be forgotten about but they haven't lowered the price to equal your stay. Like I said I stayed here for years twice per year and thought this year I would go back for a nights visit. Needless to say I won't be back again.

When we travel throughout the year, we find our experiences at Hampton Inn just as we expect. Clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff, wonderful linens, clean pool and fitness areas, delicious breakfast, and easy check-in and check-out. Hampton Inns are our hotel of choice almost always, and for good reasons. It eases the stress of traveling when you know your overnights will be "as expected".

Real good experience! Staff was very friendly! Room was very clean ! Pet friendly!Talked to the young Laundry Lady can’t remember her Name Sweet friendly ! Breakfast was excellent . Price was good ! We were there because my Mother in Law had an Emergency Surgery!

The desk manager here is the WORST And RUDEST person. Didn't offering diamond guests snacks and water at check and when bringing it up later and asking for them she got very indignant and refused to supply them. Never mentioned breakfast in the morning. Never mentioned any of the services that the hotel had to offer. She was more concerned about getting on with her cell phone than working with guests. She knows nothing of customer service and I would NEVER NEVER stay at this hotel again and would suggest that no one wastes their money to stay here. I even had a Diamond desk agent contact the hotel and the desk manager LIED to her about what transpired. I would also warn that the photos on their web page do NOT match what you get in the rooms. They are VERY misleading. This is definitely a FAIL hotel for Hilton. It is NOT up to the Hilton standard. Please don't spend your money here.

The room was gorgeous and spacious (I only wished I could have stayed longer!) and the staff was absolutely perfect, they were so friendly and efficient. Danielle and Ryan in particular went above and beyond to help us. Totally recommend this gem!
