Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel & Conference Center

We are a family of 4, kids ages 7 and 9. We thought this was a very lovely hotel with beautiful furnishings, especially in the lobby. But I would not really recommend it for families. The dining was really just in the bar area in the evening. And the service for the free breakfast was so slow that we just gave up and went for donuts. There was a diner that was walking distance but it didn’t seem that appealing. (We didn’t try the food.) Maybe we would have enjoyed the stay more if we had remembered bathing suits because the pool did look very fun and featured very, very warm water and a whirlpool!

We decided to take an overnight trip to Gettysburg and my Husband picked this hotel mainly because it is in close proximity to the Harley Dealership much to my dismay. It is located in a less busy area of Gettysburg which is nice if you appreciate not being right in the action. Check in was quick and efficient. The hotel is a bit dated & could use some repairs. We encountered broken tiles in the shower, a cracked faucet, rather large gap under the main door, and peeling door paint. The shower water is causing the peeling paint due to the poor design of the shower enclosure which leaves a wet mess all over the door & floor. Make sure you have plenty of towels on hand! Our room was right off the elevator, so we had a good bit of noise between that and the vending machine/ice location. The bed was okay, but those pillows leave a lot to be desired. We both woke up with kinks in our necks & poor sleep quality. The room did have a small refrigerator & a dirty coffee machine which we did NOT use. Other than the coffeemaker, the room was fairly clean. Overall, for the value I would say this is your average hotel stay. Do not expect perfection because you will not find it here. Bring your own pillow & avoid the rooms by the elevator!

I've been coming here year after year for college reunion. Love this hotel. There are plenty of meeting rooms, various sizes. Bedrooms are roomy and nice. The hotel is very inviting and comfortable. The food is good and the the hotel staff is wonderful.

Showed up and checked in all went well. Until we noticed once in our room the heat was off. We asked why?? We were then told by staff we have no heat. Very poor loyalty to Wyndham costumers along with dishonesty. We have stayed here several times before and loved it. Your company needs to take a good look at themselves. Very disappointed. Your bar tenders are a pleasure to be around. The hotel was very: Clean Staff very friendly Bar tenders were great Pool and hot tube were clean but too cold to enjoy

They were very accommodating to my family of six. And we’re able to upgrade us due to being a diamond. my family and I enjoyed complementary breakfast meals for all five days. We stayed over the holiday. My wife especially enjoyed the civil war theme of the hotel. My wife loved it so much, She can’t wait to come back.
