Residence Inn Cranberry Township Pittsburgh by Marriott

staff could use some training on being friendly to guests- most did not even say hello. Girl who checked us in looked like she really hated her job, did not smile at all. Room was clean but cold- they had the heat off I guess to save energy. It did warm up quite nicely. The breakfast could use some help- eggs x 4 days- very tastless. Most things needed restocking- staff just said no. Not sure if it a clorine smell or what but you are hit with it as soon as you walk in.

Solid Residence Inn for a one night stay while passing through. I agree the hotel is in need of a renovation and is a little worn around the edges but everything was in working order and was clean and the staff were friendly. Mostly quiet but you could hear some road noise. You can't beat the price for the amount of space you get and with a full kitchen. The hotel is a little convoluted to get to from the turnpike but shouldn't be an issue. Mostly fast food options in the area and many close by 9 PM so be aware of that. Breakfast was well stocked and good. My only issue was I couldn't get the thermostat to have constant fan which I like to do for white noise. Not sure if it was set to not do that or if it wasn't working correctly. The battery did way it was low. Also, be aware they charge $5 a night for parking which is ridiculous with a suburban hotel like this. They have an enormous parking lot and everyone who stays at this hotel obviously drives to it so this is nothing but a cash grab.

This has been a go-to hotel for over 20 years when I visit suburban Pittsburgh. It is really showing its age. Nothing gross. Just tired. Tub fixtures are wonky. Wallpaper is peeling. Furniture and pictures on the walls haven’t changed in 20 years. Outside door only works as an exit. Time for a redo.

I’m very disappointed. I’m traveling for work and heard this was a nice place to stay. They are listed on the CLC website as accepting the CLC card. When I got there I was told that the hotel doesn’t accept CLC yet and that the hotel listed on the site prematurely. Fortunately the Wyngate across the street had vacancies. The new management needs to get their act together.

My family and I stayed there and the pictures looked nice but we found this to be an old hotel building in need of upgrades. Not Marriott quality. We got a dirty room with ripped carpeting that needs replaced. The walls are beat up and the furniture was heavily worn. If you like newer, clean hotels, look elsewhere.
