Candlewood Suites Pittsburgh Cranberry an IHG Hotel

The room was clean enough. It looked to have me renovated but the floor moved when you stepped on it and the soap dispenser in the bathroom fell off the wall. The lobby and front desk are dated back to the 90s and the smell when you enter the hotel and common areas is awful.

Comfortable well designed room, pleasant stay. We will try to stop here again when traveling back and forth from Virginia to Michigan. Very nice bed, sheets, bathroom with kitchen and living area, good location right off the highway, with convenient proximity to restaurants.

To get to this hotel from the turnpike, you have to pass it and come through the back of a shopping center. You can see it from the turnpike but there could be better signage to actually guide you to the entrance. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. A spotless bathroom gets 4 stars no matter what! We did not use the kitchen except the refrigerator but it looked spotless as well. Our chair in room 319 was deplorable. It was ripped up and gross. We did not use it. Management should replace it. I am guessing it has remained even though a review left by someone else in April described a similar (or same) chair. Totally unacceptable. As I was only staying one night, I didn't need to use it. We heard a lot of dogs, but guests were very respectable and by nightime, it was very quiet and enjoyable. I am not a pet owner and thought this hotel does a great job of keeping the pet noise and pet odor in check. I enjoyed my cup of coffee from the cupboard in the morning but noticed there were very limited offerings for purchase. I guess this is for pandemic reasons but the cold cases contained only drinks. If you are planning to stay for a while, expect to bring your own food. Pool was closed. I did not search for other amenities. There were no meals to purchase. Overall, I enjoyed my shower and sleep and would recommend this hotel.

We had never been to Pittsburgh before and had no idea where to look for a hotel. We wanted to stay at an extended stay hotel so we chose this one. The location is excellent. There are plenty of restaurants close by and some even within walking distance. There are also plenty of stores nearby and it is convenient to the interstate. It was a little farther away from the airport than we would have liked but the commute was easy. The staff was excellent. Any time we had a question or needed something, they were always there to help. The room has a full refrigerator, two burners to cook on, and a toaster. There is also a big closet to store things. Housekeeping is once a week but if you need fresh towels or other supplies for the room, you can get them from the front desk. There are three washers and four dryers that are free located right next to the gym. There is also an indoor pool. We did not use the pool so I cannot speak to it. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay here again.

While our room was very spacious, our sofa was hard as a rock and the recliner had its faux leather peeling off the arms and back, Would not even sit in it. The temperature was very difficult to regulate and the bed was hard and lumpy, not comfortable. The staff was friendly, there is free parking and a short drive to restaurants and stores, Just off the turnpike exit.Pretty average, but it was not expensive and I too like to have a kitchen when I travel, now that no one is serving breakfast.
